Both my kids prefer to do it right after school. Sometimes they have a snack first, depending on how hungry they are. I don't even have to ask, they just do it. But they don't have much homework and when they do, it isn't much. Their school doesn't belive in it either and they both are doing great in school. My DS (in 6th grade) will also do it during any available break at school too and on the bus.
