What time do you typically eat dinner?

At home around 6:30, if we go out to eat it's usually around 7:30-8:30.

We are pretty much the same. But growing up it was more like 5:00

We usually eat at home during the week between 6:30 and 7. If we go out during the week 7 would be the earliest. Weekends were not really on a schedule so whenever we're hungry we'll go out.

when we eat at home we have dinner around 6pm, i get off at 5:30 & then prepare & cook or make the dinner i prepared in the morning. however when we go out to dinner especially with friends we typically go around 7 or 8.

About 6:30-7:00 or so usually. If I wind up eating a meal that will be past 8:30 or 9, I just won't eat much. Not good to go to bed on a full stomach.

As a kid it was almost alway 5PM on the dot.

Well, when my husband worked in NJ, 5 miles away, he got out at 5 and was home by 5:15, so we ate around 5:45, 6:00.

Now he works in the city. If he leaves work on time(5 in the winter, 5:30 in the summer)he gets home around 6:15 in the winter and 6:30, 6:45 in the summer, so we've been eating around 7pm.

I'd MUCH rather eat at 6 at home, and if we(as a family) are going out, we usually go like 6, 6:30.

If we are going out to eat with friends, all adults, we usually have 7, 7:30 reservations because that gives everyone who has a long commute time to go home and get freshened up.

Usually eat around 8. I am used to that having lived in Europe as a kid. It was very normal in our home to eat later. Parents usually had a drink or so after work at the OC and then came home for dinner.

During the school year, we eat by 6:30 because I go to bed at 8:30pm. In the summer, we eat around 8 which I much prefer.

I wish we could eat that early! I have GERD (& Barrett's Esophagus) so I hate having to eat late, but the only way the whole family can eat together is if we have dinner after 7:00. DH doesn't get home until after 7, so dinner is usually by 7:30, or 8:00 at the latest.

When I was growing up, dinner was at 4:00 on the dot every day. That was way too early in my book. You eat at just the right time.

We usually eat about 6:30 during the school year and a little later during the summer maybe about 7:00. When kids were younger we probably ate a little earlier. WE like to make an effort to eat together.

Well, we are early birds!!

I am up at 4:30 in the morning to go to work. I get home by about 3:30 and I just start making dinner. If I sit down to read the paper or something, I will never get back up again!!

We often eat at 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. I got to bed at 9:00 p.m. so that is perfect for me. I can't imagine eating at 7:00 and then getting into bed 2 hours later.

We use to eat at 6:30 every day when I was growing up. Now we eat later especially in the summer since it stays light outside so much longer. We grill a lot. In the winter I do more cooking inside and usually eat around 7:00.

I work part-time, so I am home long before my husband. He has a gym at his work, and if he doesn't stay and work out, we eat about 4:40, if he does work out, it's about 5:30.

I would say our average time is 6:30. Sometimes we eat as early 5:30. If DH is going to be late, I'll feed the kids around 5:30 and we'll eat later.

We eat dinner at around 6:15-6:30 at night. My DH works at home, but struggled to get off work before then. Also, I did after school daycare, and the parent picked up at 6pm, but often ran late. I would aim for a 6:15 dinner. But my kids have so many activities that it really depended on the night. Sometimes we'd eat earlier or in shifts, sometimes later. I'm not doing daycare anymore, so I'm going to start shooting for an earlier dinner time--we'll see if my DH can get off work by 6PM this fall (all bets are off in the summer).

We usually eat between 8-9pm - sometimes later at weekends. I grew up with "late" dinners and DH has learned to live with it since I do all the cooking! :rotfl2:

When we go out for dinner we try to get a table for 8pm.
