What time do we need to be at the gate?

Haven't been to US in 20 years so we are way out of out element! Booked a 1 night stay at RPH on 7/12 back in January for our last 2 days of vacation(checking out of Disney BC on the 12th) for the express pass. Had hoped that DA would have opened in June so we would miss the start of the craziness but guess not. So now the question is how early will we need to be at the gate on 7/13? Park hours show 8am opening.

since you are staying onsite, you do get in one hour early by showing your hotel card.

i would suggest you be in that gate hotel line 30 minutes prior to that opening.
i am assuming that July will be busy even for the hotel guests.
many have made reservations onsite so they can enter the park early.
