What time do Main Street (MK) shops close?

Does anybody know if the shops close at the same time the park "officially" closes - or do they stay open for last minute shoppers? We'll be at Magic Kingdom in December for MVMCP - which is supposed to run until midnight. Just wondering if the shops will still be open as we make our way out.

Actually the shops stay open until everyone is out of them. They won't shove you out at one hour after park closes but they will be shutting things down then though.

Even when the park is open so late? (midnight on MVMCP nights.) Woohee! That's even better!!! Actually, I mostly want to see the Cheshire Cat and SnowWhite stepmother/witch mirrors, but if DD's fiancee wants to shop (as he very well might), I can persuade him to hold off during those precious ride/attraction hours - knowing there will be time afterwards.
