We have a 9:00 ADR at Cape May. We are staying at AoA. I would like to take the bus to HS and then take the boat over. Would we make it in time?

TIA!

Generally speaking Friendship boats begin operating 30 minutes before park [HS and Epcot] opening. I'm not sure what that physically means for boats being at any of the actual docks at that time? My suggestion to you would be to make sure you're at the HS dock by 8:30 AM and if a boat is there or approaching then you're all set. If not, you may want to consider walking [about 20 minutes]. If you do take the boat from HS the first stop is SD, followed by YC/BC, then BW and finally Epcot. Our experience is that the walk from SD dock to YC/BC takes the same time as the boat duration.

Depending the budget and the makeup of your party get a taxi or Uber to Cape May. The last 2 trips we have done this going to YC for dinner, spa appointment at GF and going back to POFQ after lunch at YC /Boardwalk ( we were in Epcot or DHS in the morning and then headed over for lunch).Takes a lot less time (BTW we use public transit for work so have no issue with buses, just want to save time)

Thank you! I might just take that advice so we aren't stressed getting there and then maybe explore the boat/bus option for the way home

There shouldn't be any stress involved. The boats will be running at least 30 mins prior to park opening. But, that may not get you to the BC in time for 9:00. Why? If the first boat leaves the YC/BC dock at 8:35, it will get to DHS about 8:50ish, then it has to unload and make it's way back to the S/D, then YC/BC....which will take 15 mins. Past your ADR time. But....you can still drive to DHS, leave your car, and then walk over to YC/BC if there is no boat there. If it's an EMH morning the boats will be running earlier. Or, they could start running a bit earlier for any reason..you just don't know. If there isn't a boat at the dock, or coming in, by 8:35, you can walk. It's a very easy, pleasant walk...takes under 18 mins. Walk to the end of the walkway, go left up the hill to the bridge, go right and down the bridge towards YC. Walk to the entrance of BC, a very short walk from the YC. I've actually made the walk in 13 mins, but I was really cranking!!! Not very relaxing at all!

I was going to say, it's only about a 20 minute walk. And like others have said, it's a very nice walk and a great way to start your morning!
