Do dining reservations still become available at midnight pacific time?

I wasn't going to do the middle-of-the-night thing because I've been told that reservations at DLR aren't hard to get, but for the last few days I've been checking 60-day availability and it is not good. Today I checked Ariel's Grotto for every day in January and there was almost nothing. This makes me think I need to do midnight dining reservations! (Which, honestly, I don't really mind, I just want to plan ahead.)

The dining reservations open somewhere between midnight and 6:00 am, but it doesn't always seem to be all that consistent.

Most likely, if you're seeing that something is not available at the 60-day mark (or there about) it probably means they have not yet loaded the reservations into the system or there is a glitch.

I agree with Figment. It's just way too easy to get into even a princess breakfast. Without the Disney Dining Plan, you don't have thousands of people fighting to get the most bang for their buck. Even with an AP, it costs this family of 5 way over $150 for a lunch there. It's just not worth it to most DL vacationers. I think you'll easily find what you're looking for at 7am that morning.

If you still have trouble, call the phone number. They can help you. I needed a reservation for 2 and it said nothing available. The person on the phone made the reservation for 3 then 1 minute late cancelled out the 3rd person. Was very helpful and quick.
