What time do day guests need to leave on party nights?

I was at MK yesterday which was a party day, but without plans to attend the party. I got there around 9:45 am. While the park didn’t feel “empty” wait times were very manageable all day. I had Genie+ and was able to ride all the headliners (with the exception of 7D. I probably could have but I was getting tired). I actually got to the point where I ran out of rides that I could use Genie+ on cause the lines were so short, especially between noon and 4pm.

I had the idea to shop main street at the end of the day but it was a madhouse. Emporium was shoulder to shoulder at 5:30pm. I happily headed out of the park having been pleasantly surprised at everything I got to see and do on a short day.

We used to be frequent fliers at WDW, but Covid came and when I couldn't take photos with my favorite characters, it threw us off and we are now a bit rusty...

We will be visiting the week of Thanksgiving (pray for us- we are not used to these kinds of crowds...). One day in the parks, 11/20, MK closes at 6. We have a 5:55 Crystal Palace. We wanted tickets to MVMCP as it is also my youngest daughter's 13th birthday that very day and we wanted to make it special, but couldn't quite swing it with all of the other price increases. We were, however, curious about the Dessert Party that is offered that night, allowing you to enter back in to the park at 8- are tickets to MVMCP required for the dessert event, or can you enter for the fireworks/dessert party only?

Also, no judgments here, please- how in the heck can they tell, once we leave Crystal Palace, that we are not supposed to be in the park because we do not have admission to the park? Equally, if we do not require MVMCP admission to take part in the Dessert/Firework party, how do they know if we are wandering and taking part in other activities?

Lastly, tell me about the MVMCP- we have down the MNSSHP years ago, and I really want to splurge and do the Christmas Party, but curious what it entails exactly? Thanks in advance!

You will be allowed to dine at Crystal Palace but will be escorted out by a cast member afterwards. For the dessert party, a party ticket is required so you will not be able to do that.

In addition to entrance, a party ticket also gets you access to rides (they check bands), exclusive merchandise (they block it off prior to the party), the parade, some treats (like trick or treating at Christmas - cookies and hot cocoa I think), a few rides get specific overlays, and fireworks (I suppose you could see these from a nearby resort).

There is an hour buffer between park closing and the party officially starting to clear out non party guests. I've never tried it, but from what I've heard, you'll have a tough time circumventing the protocols they have in place.

They issue event specific wristbands to those that have tickets to MVMCP. After 6 pm, they will be checking for those wristbands and if you are not wearing one, you will be directed towards the park exit. To attend a dessert party on a MVMCP night, you would need to have tickets for MVMCP.

A lot of discussion on this recent thread. Please see above.

You will be escorted by a CM towards the front of the park after your dining reservation so that those with paid admission to the party can enjoy the festivities.
