No wristbands, obviously. Also, the parade route was more crowded than in previous years. And you knew they weren't party goers because...?

I think this needs to be repeated. Two people spending the day in MK on a party day would have paid over $300 to be there, plus food and possibly Genie+. They are already paying more for reduced hours.I understand that some people on here are recommending leaving early, but the park closes at 6 pm. for people who visit during the day. Every single day has a closing time, and there is not a flip that's switched a minute after park closing time to eject guests. The actual party doesn't even start until 7 anyway.
Anyway, don't be scared away by people who just want fewer people in the park. We all wish fewer people were in the park, but that's not an excuse to tell people that they need to leave before actual park close.
I would have no problem entering the line for 7DMT at 5:59pm.I think this needs to be repeated. Two people spending the day in MK on a party day would have paid over $300 to be there, plus food and possibly Genie+. They are already paying more for reduced hours.
To suggest they need to leave BEFORE the already reduced hours to not be a nuisance to staff is ridiculous.
Enjoy your day up until leaving time, and then leave. I know I would.
So in other words, you have no idea whether they were party guests. No wristbands, obviously. Also, the parade route was more crowded than in previous years.
That's dumb. Their party ticket entitles them to those two hours. Your day ticket doesn't entitle you to any party time.If I can’t stay for the 7-9pm hours of the party without a wristband, party guests also should be held outside the park until 6pm if they don’t also have day tickets and park reservations and shouldn’t be able to intrude on day guests during the 4-6pm hour.
What part of "no wristbands" don't you understand? So in other words, you have no idea whether they were party guests.
Day guests are welcome to do that (when lines are open as they don't need to add a holiday overlay) but my understanding is that once 6:00 hits, each person who arrives at SDMT who is a party guest will enter via the LL line so will be in front of those in the standby line. It may be quite the wait to ride.I would have no problem entering the line for 7DMT at 5:59pm.

The part where you can, in the dark, in a crowd, see under the shirt and jacket sleeves of attendees at night parties in fall and winter months. What part of "no wristbands" don't you understand?
I suppose it's possible but I would be surprised if they did that for two reasons:Day guests are welcome to do that (when lines are open as they don't need to add a holiday overlay) but my understanding is that once 6:00 hits, each person who arrives at SDMT who is a party guest will enter via the LL line so will be in front of those in the standby line. I think I heard that somewhere regarding some after hours events but not the parties.I will say I'm going only from what I've heard. We haven't tried this tactic ourselves so knowledge is not first-hand, only what's been reported on the boards at some point. It would be nice if everyone was in the same queue.
But those aren't the hours Disney has set. The park closes at 6 to everyone except those who paid to attend the event. Disney allows guests attending the party to enter at 4pm. Their parks, their rules. If I can’t stay for the 7-9pm hours of the party without a wristband, party guests also should be held outside the park until 6pm if they don’t also have day tickets and park reservations and shouldn’t be able to intrude on day guests during the 4-6pm hourB
The whole reason they started this was the HUGE congestion of tens of thousands of people trying to get in to the party. It would be a logistical nightmare, virtually impossible. If I can’t stay for the 7-9pm hours of the party without a wristband, party guests also should be held outside the park until 6pm if they don’t also have day tickets and park reservations and shouldn’t be able to intrude on day guests during the 4-6pm hour.
Why? We paid for a ticket into the park, and the party hasn't started yet. I got in line for Splash Mountain at 5:50, and did not get off until almost 6:30. There is nothing wrong with that.If not staying for the party, leave MK before 6:00.
No, it's not new. I did it in 2019 during the beginning of the Christmas party (ADR at Skippers after the park officially closed to day guests). I did it again this year, 6:40 ADR for Skippers on a MNSSHP night. They put a special notation on your receipt and they make sure you leave after your dinner. Is that new? The dining reservation page used to specifically say that a party ticket is required for any reservations at 6pm or later. I'm not sure if the rule changed or they allowed you some grace.

In the past, I knew you couldn't make that late of an ADR. I was surprised that we were allowed to make an ADR that late without a party pass. Not sure if it's a new rule or an IT error. But, we were not the only group entering the restaurant late as many others left with the yellow dining bracelet to get out of the park.Is that new? You're like a dog with a bone, aren't you? In October, in Florida, it's warm most of the time and people weren't wearing jackets. I could see who was wearing wrist bands and who wasn't.The part where you can, in the dark, in a crowd, see under the shirt and jacket sleeves of attendees at night parties in fall and winter months.
