What time do day guests need to leave on party nights?

I understand that some people on here are recommending leaving early, but the park closes at 6 pm. for people who visit during the day. Every single day has a closing time, and there is not a flip that's switched a minute after park closing time to eject guests. The actual party doesn't even start until 7 anyway.

Anyway, don't be scared away by people who just want fewer people in the park. We all wish fewer people were in the park, but that's not an excuse to tell people that they need to leave before actual park close.
I think this needs to be repeated. Two people spending the day in MK on a party day would have paid over $300 to be there, plus food and possibly Genie+. They are already paying more for reduced hours.

To suggest they need to leave BEFORE the already reduced hours to not be a nuisance to staff is ridiculous.

Enjoy your day up until leaving time, and then leave. I know I would.

I would have no problem entering the line for 7DMT at 5:59pm.

If I can’t stay for the 7-9pm hours of the party without a wristband, party guests also should be held outside the park until 6pm if they don’t also have day tickets and park reservations and shouldn’t be able to intrude on day guests during the 4-6pm hour.

That's dumb. Their party ticket entitles them to those two hours. Your day ticket doesn't entitle you to any party time.

If you can't do everything you want to do at MK by 6:00 on a party day, you need to work on your planning LOL. Those days are the best.

Day guests are welcome to do that (when lines are open as they don't need to add a holiday overlay) but my understanding is that once 6:00 hits, each person who arrives at SDMT who is a party guest will enter via the LL line so will be in front of those in the standby line. It may be quite the wait to ride.

I don't think that's true until 7pm when the party starts. I think it used to be true when there wasn't the hour buffer. I could be wrong though. I don't recall seeing anyone in the LL (was FP+) when we did this.

I suppose it's possible but I would be surprised if they did that for two reasons:

1) The 7DMT LL queue length is physically much shorter than the standby line and it can't accommodate a lot of people. Allowing party guests to enter it unfettered would likely quickly back the queue up outside the attraction.

2) They want to clear day guests out ASAP during that 6-7pm hour. Allowing party guests in the LL would result in the day guests waiting longer, which would possibly result in them not being out until after 7pm which defeats the purpose of the hour to clear day guests out of the park.

I will say I'm going only from what I've heard. We haven't tried this tactic ourselves so knowledge is not first-hand, only what's been reported on the boards at some point. It would be nice if everyone was in the same queue.

I think I heard that somewhere regarding some after hours events but not the parties.

But those aren't the hours Disney has set. The park closes at 6 to everyone except those who paid to attend the event. Disney allows guests attending the party to enter at 4pm. Their parks, their rules.

The whole reason they started this was the HUGE congestion of tens of thousands of people trying to get in to the party. It would be a logistical nightmare, virtually impossible.

Things to consider are -
1) Many of the day guests are also staying for the party so already there.
2) Many party guests show up in the 4-5 pm range to get those extra rides.
3) Many party guests have booked TS just after 4 pm and are not impacting rides.
4) Many party guests show up in the 6-7 pm range (we left twice this week at 6-ish and ferries & monorails were packed coming in.

As far as day guests there are signs several times entering and inside the park to clarify a 6pm hard closing for them.

If not staying for the party, leave MK before 6:00.
Why? We paid for a ticket into the park, and the party hasn't started yet. I got in line for Splash Mountain at 5:50, and did not get off until almost 6:30. There is nothing wrong with that.
Is that new? The dining reservation page used to specifically say that a party ticket is required for any reservations at 6pm or later. I'm not sure if the rule changed or they allowed you some grace.
No, it's not new. I did it in 2019 during the beginning of the Christmas party (ADR at Skippers after the park officially closed to day guests). I did it again this year, 6:40 ADR for Skippers on a MNSSHP night. They put a special notation on your receipt and they make sure you leave after your dinner.

It is absolutely allowed. As long as you don't use the special link for party ticket when you make your ADR there are a few restaurants that have reservations after park closing (6:00 to 6:45 is what I have seen for the Halloween party).

I think that it's a great way to spend the time, if you only have till 6 to ride rides, make sure don't waste that time eating, ride all the rides you can until 6, then eat afterwards. Plus, I personally love Skippers, it's my favorite MK restaurant.

I think it is new since they added the hour buffer- something they didn't use to do. The party doesn't officially start until 7, so not surprised that they would allow reservations between the 6 and 7 pm hours. There's nothing wrong with it, You're eating- it's not like you're taking up space in the park or trying to get on rides or even clogging up the stores. People should just relax, the CM's are very, very good at clearing guests out of the park that don't belong.

Honestly, with there being parties now nearly 6 months out of the year and the MK closing at 6 on those nights, I'd wring out every minute I could of my park time on those days.

In the past, I knew you couldn't make that late of an ADR. I was surprised that we were allowed to make an ADR that late without a party pass. Not sure if it's a new rule or an IT error. But, we were not the only group entering the restaurant late as many others left with the yellow dining bracelet to get out of the park.

The part where you can, in the dark, in a crowd, see under the shirt and jacket sleeves of attendees at night parties in fall and winter months.
You're like a dog with a bone, aren't you? In October, in Florida, it's warm most of the time and people weren't wearing jackets. I could see who was wearing wrist bands and who wasn't.
