What time can we get into park?

I have a 9:05 BOG reservation, My question is what time do you think they will allow us into the park? I would really like to get in early to take the almost empty park photos. I was reading that the rope drop is actually about 8:45, not 9:00... so would they just push us back with the rope drop crowd?

Really? that sucks. i was hoping to be let in just before. My father in law will be with us and he can't walk too fast, so its going to take us a bit to get back to BOG. its going to be harder fighting a crowd.

Your reservation is after park opening. Don't think you will be allowed in before that. If they start allowing guests into the gates at 8:45, then you'll be let in at 8:45.

What if i grab a reservation for 2 of us at 8;05, and the other 4 have 9:05. Do you think they will let us all in ... I know I'm reaching, but its worth asking

No, they won't let the 4 in based on a reservation that is an hour later than the one the other two have.

At park opening, they won't give your reservation away because you aren't there exactly at 9:05. But if you want photos in an empty park you will need to have an earlier reservation.

Yes i understand that they won't give our reservation away if we are not there, however I read a while back that they let you in 15 min before your reservation time for BOG. Then later i read that opening is actually earlier that 9 am most of the time.

A reservation that is scheduled after park opening won't be any guarantee that you will be let into the park ahead of the crowds. Ask at the park gates, there will be a CM there whose job will be to take care of guests with a pre-park opening ADR. But you probably should not expect anything, because your reservation is not pre-park opening.

If the crowds are allowed in earlier than 9 you will be, too. They won't say "hey, we're letting them all in at 8:45 so we will let you with a reservation after 9 go in at 8:30."

Yeah i get that. My question was to see if anyone had experience with this before. I can't find the thread right now, it was a while ago, but people were talking about what time the cms were letting them into the park with reservations not ppo. Then i read about people being surprised about what time the crowds actually started coming into the park. so... i was just checking to see if anyone had done this before and what to expect.

They let us in early for our 830 but they had a clip board of adrs. I assume the number of guests was on it.

My friends were there earlier this month and had a 9:10 BoG reservation. They entered the park at park opening.

If you want PPO photos, your ADR time needs to be PPO.
