I have a theory. I think everyone is following sites for recommended parks so it just is not working as well as it used to. I just checked and MK is the Most Recommended park today on one of the sites. With everyone following the same advice, it just does not seem as accurate anymore IMO. When we were there over the summer there was always ONE crowded park, and we were always in it! I followed one of the sites, as did everyone else I think!
I agree with your theory. I've been saying this for awhile but I think there are lots more people following crowd calendars than in the past. Just a few years ago, hardly anyone who wasn't on boards like this knew about crowd calendars. Now, everyone I talk to (and there are lots more going to WDW than there used to be) but they all know about planning their days using crowd calendars. And I do think we are all ending up on the same day b/c of it.
I posted either in this thread or another Sept one but we went to MK two days in a row on our trip. One was not recommended and one was most recommended. The 'not recommended' day was less crowded than the 'recommended' day. Now, that is just one example, and maybe that was a fluke. It will be interesting to see if there is a trend people start to notice.
Also, Epcot was not crowded at all for us (F&W had not started). The massive crowds were definitely at MK.
