First let me say that I don't know how I missed this report! Second I will say, I just read the whole thing, and it's great. Third, let me say that we are booked at a Value for October, and your issues at Movies is making me super nervous!!! We have gotten spoiled by the mods, but we were trying to do this year's trip on a tighter budget. We are doing the Dave Ramsey debt snowball, and our debt free date is in sight, so we are buckling down to get there quicker. We are booked for Pop. I have stayed there since the refurb, and the rooms are pretty nice. But, that was in 2016. I sure hope the service is not what you guys experienced at Movies!!

AGH...all the Disney food porn!!! I cannot wait! And, I am glad I caught this report today....the fun is just beginning with the arrival of Hunter and Lacey! Let the Toontown family shenanigans begin!!!

I agree i love movies but Like Lisa said any resort can have problems. And I think we can all agree that not all CM's have that Disney customer services we are use to and it makes it easier for things to slip.

Yep, every resort and castmember can have a bad day. I do have to say though that this day kinda sucked customer service wise.

f I buy the necessities a little at a time, it doesn't feel like it is hitting the pocketbook with such a punch. I also didn't want to have a long list of travel needs that had to be picked up on the weekend and be stressed out if I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I seriously don't mind driving at all. It gets boring sometimes but we enjoy looking around and being confined in a car so that we can catch up.

Sorry for disappearing when I said that I was about to post another update. I had several different quotes to get out and we took a mini-road trip yesterday. I'll post a little review of it later. For now, let's get back to Disney business.

Sweets for the sweets!

I am not sure if I posted this picture before so I'll go ahead and insert it here. This is a picture of the pasta dish that John ordered from Wolfgang Puck Express.

Moving on....the kids had arrived, we were in Disney Springs, had dinner at Earl of Sandwich....okay...so much for the refresh. We walked over to Goofy's Candy Factory because, even though we were full from our sandwiches and wrap, our sweet tooth was itching. I always wonder if anyone actually purchases these:

Although there were treats, treats and more treats, we didn't purchase anything. Instead, we rounded the corner and strolled through Christmas Tree Lane (not so sure that's the correct name). This was the first time that I had seen them. They were all "themed" after a Disney movie and/or character.

They also had a stand where you could purchase goodies.



The Muppet tree was so cute!

That's the way that it came out and he was fine with it. I was surprised because he usually likes lots and lots of cheese.

Sweets for the Sweets continued

The Christmas Tree lane was getting very congested by the time we had gotten about 3/4 of the way through so we pretty much just walked on by the trees. Our sweet tooth hadn't been satisfied yet. We were near the boat dock that would take us to nearby resorts so why not hop aboard? After about a ten minute wait, a boat to the Port Orleans Resorts arrived and we were soon on our way to Port Orleans French Quarter.







John and I had sampled the beignets but Lacey and Hunter had not. We were about to rectify that situation. We, again, ordered a full order that included six beignets and dug in while they were still warm.



Lacey, you got a little somethin' somethin' on your cheek.



Once we were done with our beignets, we figured it would be best to head back to the resort and hit the sheets for the day and doggone it, they better be clean sheets! Disney Springs had gotten very crowded while we were away. We saw the strolling piano guy on our walk to the bus stops.

As far as I know, yes. They are worth a trip over to Port Orleans French Quarter.

I've made the trip to POFQ once for those beignets, and they are so good! Sadly we won't have enough time I think on our next trip (2 months from today!) but we do plan on going to Disney Springs for the afternoon the day before our cruise in November, so maybe we will take the boat over for some then!

You definitely need to work that in before your cruise. They are worth that trip over.
