What the heck is AirTran doing now?

I just tried to check in online with AirTran. My reservations are paid in full and I purchased seats on 3 of the 4 legs; the 2nd leg had no availability when I purchased seats. NOW when I am trying to check in they show 4 seats available in business class and are telling me that I owe them $88 even though I didn't purchase seats, and I didn't check in. I did NOT buy tickets with AirTran to pay $100 more to get a seat. SHould I just wait and check-in at the airport tomorrow, or will they still sock me an additional $88 to get seats?

You can also call their customer service line and checkin over the phone. Explain the trouble you are having checking in online.
