Once again ladies and gents - I need a little guidance from those of you that are much more Disney Savvy than myself. Okay, so - why didn't I know about the anxiety that goes along with making ADR's? I never needed to try to get a table at the Royal Table in the Castle before but this trip in December, my best friend really wants her daughter and us to eat there. She has done the alternate one before in Epcot so she really really was hoping that on our 180th day (which is tomorrow) we would be able to book there for one of the days we are going to be in town. Problem is, we are cruising for 4 days before our Park days so that has shortened our normal 10 day stay down to 5 and I am so worried that when I call tomorrow everything during our stay will be taken at at the castle.

Any guidance or tips for my magical 6am panic search tomorrow am?

Thanks

If you do it right away I think you should be able to get it. If you don't, keep checking. There are often cancellations and you can snap them up if you catch them in the system. Good luck.

Last September we were able to get a pre park opening breakfast for on our 180+1 day for 6 people. You will want to look for CRT first thing, but hopefully you will get it no problem. Also I was looking for BOG for 2 and it was booked but CRT had a lunch available for December 4th when I was looking on Sunday. If you aren't set on a specific meal time and you go for CRT I bet you'll get something. If you are planning to use the dining plan have that already so CRT reservations takes credits rather than credit card payment. Book from a computer and not your phone app. That's all I can think of for CRT.

We are doing the Dream cruise December 5th, but hitting the parks first. Not to be a stalker, but are we on the same cruise?

Best wishes in your trip planning!

if you are flexible for meals then you should have NO problem.

If you are staying on property, use your 180+ to your advantage. I would check for a date at the end of your stay first since people staying off property won't be able to book that far out.

Your best bet is to book for the last night of your trip and check back frequently. Maybe even try for an "off" time

Ohhh I sooooo appreciate your help!!! Im cruising the days just before yours. Im the 2nd-5th. Then parks the 5th-10th. You were absolutely very helpful and I am grateful for your time. Have a fantastic time on your trip as well!

I agree with some of the others but for my peace of mind, the $12 for Tripplanning.com app saved me. My kids really, really, really wanted to do BOG and with 8 of us it was proving impossible to get. Using the reservation finder on the tripplanning was awesome. I just selected date and which meal (dinner) that I wanted and about 7-10 days later I got a text message saying there was an opening. I went right then on my MDE app and got the reservation.

I recently booked my ADRs for end of November/beginning of December. Everything was open - including CRT - at the 180 day mark EXCEPT for Akershus which only had 2 lunch times open. (I snagged one even though I wanted a breakfast time.) But if you can't find one, don't give up hope. People cancel all the time. I have signed up for the reservation finder (Free version) but can't say that it has helped yet.

If you are a TP member, you can use the DR Finder. I have not used it, but many here have and say it is great.

Yes, definitely use this! Totally worth it. I got a text this morning that a BOG reservation was available for my Sept trip. I ended up not taking it, as my park days/schedule changed, but I actually think we'll get in (lunch) for a meal now that I've seen it works! It's $13 to join, but, if this is important to you, I think it's totally worth it! (we joined for the lines app, which is also much better than the Disney app for lines, IMO)

I don't think you need to worry. CRT is not as difficult to book as before. Be Our Guest lunch and dinner, on the other hand, are must do at 180 days. I was able to book CRT lunch at 2:20 for my friend at 54 days. Dinner was also open for 9:10 pm slot.

We made our trip 90 days out and I kept trying and got 3 BOG's until I got time I wanted, and 3 CRT's, two were great times, so if you check often you will get something.

So, it was mentioned that I should do the reserving from a computer, not the phone and that I should have my dining info and resort info available - since I keep hearing about BOG ill ask - is it worth the hoopla? Also ....do I need a ticket for the day we do CRT? Or can we get in just to go eat? I think I remember you need to makw that day your park day? You guys are great!

Well. My 180 mark was over a week ago and there was nothing available at CRT for our group at any time on any day of our trip, and I was up right away to get it. I got a touring plans dining tracker on it right away and have had zero hits so far. (Same story at Akershus, which is my back up, for our entire trip.) I hope you have better luck than me tomorrow! But I'm not fretting. Still have lots of time to go, and something is bound to pop up. Just don't be super disappointed if you don't get it right away!

ETA: I was able to get a BOG reservation easily on our very first day, so my experience seems to be the opposite of what some others have had!

You absolutely need to use a park ticket for any meal in a park.
