What temp. do you keep your house at?

I hate having the air on, we are too closed up all winter. But when I do, I set it around 75 dregrees. I spent the weekend with my sister who keeps her house at 67. I was so cold I kept going out to lay on her trampoline in the 94 degree air just to warm up

In the winter I keep the house at 64 during the day and 60 at night.


So I was wondering which one of us is the more normal one?

So what you you have your temp set at in the summer and the winter??

Goodness me, Michele, I would freeze at your house in the winter! I keep mine around 77 in the summer and 72 in the winter, when I am home. I have it much warmer in summer/cooler in winter while at work & at night.

My mom is the opposite of your sister - her house is at 86 in the summer and 60 in the winter!!! Eeeps!

I keep my house anywhere from 68 - 73 usually. That's in the summer. We live in Florida, after all!

I live in south Texas...mine is at 78!

I keep it about 74 in the winter, I"m freezing otherwise!

I keep mine at 67 as I always wanted to live in the north pole!

Mine was on 73 but I had to turn it up because I was freezing, so now it is at 74. I don't want to turn it up to high or it will be too hot upstairs tonight.

We've got a programmable thermostat. The coolest it goes to in the summer is 78 (mornings and evenings, and goes as high as 84 during the day. (Of course, during this incredible heat wave we've been having, we've kept it at 78 pretty much all the time.) In the winter, it goes to 68 in the morning and evenings, and gets as cool as 62 during the day. (When it's below zero outside, 62 can feel toasty warm... )

78 in the summer and 70 in the winter. any colder than that and I am too cold I work nights so we keep at a preety stable temp.

Ours stays about 79 during the day and we lower it to 76 at night when we need to sleep. We also use lots of fans to stay cool!

Our upstairs stays around 87 because we don't "live" in it except when guests are here. Saves on the electricity!

I would freeze if it was any cooler than 78 in the house. Even with it being 78, I usually have a blanket on me!

We keep ours set to around 68 to 72 in the summer (menapausal) and 72 to 74 in the winter. No big changes for us all year long.

Winter: 72 during the day, around 65-68 at night.

I can't sleep without blankets so I need the house a bit chilly. Other than that, I can't stand to be cold! Guess that's why I live here.

In the winter time anywhere between 70-74.

We have a BIG house and sometimes it's hard to keep it cool in the summer if we take the temp above 75.
Same for the winter, hard to keep it warm sometimes.
