BTMRR Reopening May 3

I’m surprised they didn’t do it May 4 to spread out crowds between MK and HS.

Well, that's amazing news! We are arriving on may 3rd and originally were planning on hitting MK that day. I know no one has a magical Cristal ball, but do you guys think this will heavily impact the overall crowds that day? Or just Frontierland? I'm just trying to find out if it would be better to swap parks and avoid MK on BTMRR reopening day.

Oh my! We are planning to be at MK on May 3rd. Hmmmm. I wonder what that means for crowds, etc.

Nobody really knows but I would anticipate higher crowds on May3rd and when not in line they’ll go elsewhere but, how much of an increase? That’s the million dollar question.

Is there anyone who was in the MK Tues who cares to share how crowds were? I know the reopening of Buzz was also greatly anticipated.

If I was at Disney that week I would choose to go to a different park and then go to MK later in the week.

Buzz reopened right in the middle of Easter/Spring Break, right? So crowds would have been quite heavy anyway. I think it would be difficult to tell whether the increase was caused by that or by the reopening itself. Plus, there was a soft opening for Buzz. You’re right—at this point, we don’t know whether that will also happen for BTMRR. Before I make any changes to our meticulously planned schedule that week, I guess it’s best to wait and see. Thanks for your input, by the way—really appreciate it!

Oh cool!
I will be at Magic Kingdom on April the 20th and the 23rd.
What would you say are the odds of a soft reopening for those dates?

I’ll be at MK the 21st and 24th, fingers crossed for us!

Since they haven't announced anything about AP/DVC previews I doubt those will be happening, so maybe a soft open will happen!
