We've got some biggies in Florida. We have wood spiders (really big) and banana spiders (big and fat). And once in a while, I have to kill a scorpion.![]()

I think, for me, wolf spiders are in the same category and I know Colorado has big ones because I've seen them!!!![]()

spiders are going to be everywhere. ours arent HUUGE but there are some pretty big ones.NOOOO! I was thinking about moving to Florida, but I have aracnaphobia(sp) big time!! Are they all over Florida or just south?![]()

About 30 species of tarantulas live in the United States. Most are found in the arid regions of the Southwest, including Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, and parts of Colorado and Utah. Species are also known from as far north as Oregon, and occur as well in California, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.
