I will make sure to mark those states off of my travel list.

I'm not talking about pets. I'm talking about wild herds of hairy spiders roaming the countryside hoping to find some middle -aged woman(ME)to scare the begeezes out of.

PLEASE No pictures.

Just tell me the states to avoid;) There isn't enough Raid in the world to get me to visit.

California, I know from my first DH telling me stories of them crossing the road.:scared1:

I think, for me, wolf spiders are in the same category and I know Colorado has big ones because I've seen them!!!:scared:

:rotfl2: Well, you would have just had a hissy fit if you'd seen me when I lived at White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico.

They used to come into our yard from the desert across the street--I'd get a broom and sweep them back out into the desert so they wouldn't get near the dog.

I never saw any in northwestern New Mexico so that part of the state should be good for you to visit.

Good things spiders don't bother me. They move very slowly and they actually look very graceful as they walk. I know you don't believe me but it's true. :rotfl2:

We have plenty of them here in Arizona. Found one in my courtyard last week, fortunately Dh was here to chase it back into the wash.
I will respect your wishes and not post a photo....
They really are harmless but a spider the size of your hand really carries some shock value!!

We have wolf spiders in PA, too.

:lmao: :lmao: I just had a visual of a big, hairy tarantula in a pink tutu and ballet slippers :rotfl2:

Ssshhh.... it's a highly kept secret, but they live in Georgia....

;)

DH and I have always dreamed of traveling in an RV. I've told him if we travel through those states we will need to keep the wheels rolling so they can't catch me:lmao:

PD
:lmao:

Yea, we have them here in Michigan, too but they just don't seem as wolfy as they did in Colorado!! :scared1: :rotfl:
The first time I ever saw one (in my garage :scared1: ) I thought someone's pet tarantula got out.

My neighbors thought I was crazy for sweeping them out of the yard anyway--You made me imagine myself actually dressing them up in little spider costumes. :rotfl:

Their in Oklahoma...I saw quite a few crossing the road today. they do this when a storm is coming...they move to higher grounds. It's so gross.....when your driving your SUV down the road and you have no choose but to run them down!

Hopefully, you have VERY wide tires

Arkasas....we were visiting DH's uncle and aunt quite a few years ago.
Well, my DD was about 2, she is now 21 and we never went back.
Our dear uncle came up to me as we were packing the car. He shook a mason jar at me and said, "Look what I found on the deck!" Yep! A brown colored tarantula...yes, I screamed! I ran for the car..told them I loved them, but had to leave now.

Hate those spiders! We have wolf spiders in Ohio, too.
Ummmm...I call my DH to take care of any spiders. Something with that many legs, you never know which way it will go. I am not taking any chances! LOL!!

We've got some biggies in Florida. We have wood spiders (really big) and banana spiders (big and fat). And once in a while, I have to kill a scorpion. :scared1:

I hate Scorpions more...Are they really in Southern Florida...My parents have a house in Punta Gorda and now I am scared...:scared1:
