Of your options, BWV/BLT and make sure the BWV portion is during the SWW.

SWW are usually very crowded. You'll definitely want the option of walking to and from DHS. The waits for the boats can be l.. o.....n........g . Depending on your room location at the BWV, you can walk from DHS gate to BWV in 10-15 minutes - walking normally (not fast or race walking). IMO, BCV is too far away to walk, especially if it's hot and humid. It would take at least 20-30 minutes at an average walking speed.

I didn't vote because I won't do split stays on purpose, LOL.

Blt/bwv gives you the convenience (and beautiful walk) to 3 parks. We aren,t fans of the noisiness of the bcv's, so excluded there easily

Enjoy

i luv my homes, BW & WL, but voted for BC, can't beat SAB:thumbsup2

Wow! I am in the minority for picking OKW. I picked it b/c to me it seems the most opposite of BLT. When we stayed at OKW I found it to be the most quiet of all the resorts which I would love if I was just there with my hubby. I have 2 young kids so I can say this... but it would offer a nice respite from the little ones you might be more likely to find at the other resorts. At least that's how I would feel! Happy Planning! :thumbsup2

PS: If you do end up at OKW, ask to be near the Hospitality House.

Voted BWV because there are two adults and the BW nightlife is fun. I also would say BCV because those two resorts give you the best access to Epcot and the Studios. When you're at BLT you'll have that easy access to MK.

I chose BCV/BLT. The BCV for the Boardwalk and SAB and BLT would be fun for MK access and the lounge on the top of the tower. We are planning a split stay our next WDW trip (also 2 adults)-6 nights in a BCV studio and eating more dinners out and then 6 nights in an AKV 1 BR to unwind and enjoy the resort and the animal viewing. We would only visit DTD and AK during that stay-probably eat more meals in the villa or by the pool. I don't think I'd want to split a stay of a week or less. I would like to stay at BLT one of these days...maybe a 14 day trip? :)

My split choice is not there. LOL I would pick BCV and VWL if it were just me and dh. We love BCV and I have always wanted to try VWL...it just seems so cozy and secluded. :thumbsup2

Agree with all of this, but we generally stay at BWV if we can get BW View. Its nice to be on the balcony, one of us watching the boat patterns-we often leave the room when the "next" boat will be arriving right on time. :thumbsup2

bwv/blt

just because you say the main reason was SW which is at the studios.

BWV is the closest DVC resort to Studios.

would not go for a BW view - but a garden/pool view close to Studios.

standard view works great too - but don't think you have a chance of getting one.

We are firm believers in split stays. I voted for BWV/BLT. But . . . what would be, in my opinion, a true Adult combo, would be BWV and SSR or OKW. SSR/OKW for the close proximity to DTD.

Have fun - and Happy Birthday to your DH. We celebrated my DS 13th birthday last November, and DH 52 in June. I just turned 51 yesterday and celebrated in my back yard!!!! :confused3 Something is wrong with this picture!!! LOL my 52 will be either at WDW/HHI or VB!!!

Thanks buzz for the birthday wishes! :)

Hubby was sitting next to me and turned his head... he was wearing his usual WDW hat that he loves with a '71 stitched in the back.. as in the year WDW opened and it suddenly dawned on me! Hubby is 40 the same year WDW is 40! What an awesome celebration it will be :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:goodvibes:goodvibes

If you are really hung up on an MK resort I would go to VWL over BLT. It is a bigger vacation experience than BLT which is more hotelly IMO.

OKW is an acquired taste. I love it and so do many other and I definitely think you should eventually try it but BWV is a pretty safe bet for a couple celebrating.

We love split stays! Our upcoming trip in 11 days will be a three-way split - BCV, BLT and AKV Jambo Concierge.

BLT is our home and we love it so there's no question on the BLT portion. :)

The pool at BCV is very tempting... I am teetering between BWV and BCV with more weight on BWV.... the only thing that draws me to BCV is the pool... what to do... what to do....

I don't think you can go wrong with either of these. If swimming is important to you and it looks like your going in June when it will be hot, you may want to consider the BCV. I LOVE SAB, and could make a week long vacation never leaving the BC.
