What sparked your latest urge to go to WDW?

what urged me to book our most recent trip was finding out that i was pregnant. we figured this would be the last time we could go to wdw without kids!

I just got married and want to go back and do all the big rides one more time before we try for kids.

On our last trip in January, my dh got sick and didn't spend alot of time at the parks with us. And then the 2 teens spent most of the time at the pool (it was in the 80's while we were there). So, that left me with the 2 little ones. We had such a wonderful time!!! I knew that I could actually go to WDW with just the little ones and have a great time.

My dh likes Disney, but not every year. So, this trip is just me with my 2 youngest children (7 and 5). I will be going about every 12 months and whoever in my family wants to come along is fine with me. :)

We just booked a trip spur of the moment for week after Thanksgiving. Why? I looked at my AP and saw it expires on December 4th. I couldnt stand the thought of not using it again before it expires LOL.

Speaking of the music at Epcot.Does anyone know of anywhere, that I can find a cd of the music from Epcot? I love that music there in futureworld. Please help me out if you can. Send me a pm with any info.thanks. :confused3

I bought several CD's on our last trip (Spectro, Wishes, and the Happiest 50th Celebration on Earth.) These were the best souvenirs I bought the entire trip. The Celebration one is a 2-CD set and has many songs from Epcot...I especially love the Soarin' song...if I close my eyes when I listen to it, I'm back on the ride! :Pinkbounc I'll bet you could get it by calling the WDW Merchandise store. I don't have the number but I'm sure somebody on here does.

For me, writing my trip report was what sparked my next trip. I couldn't BEAR the thought of not having a scheduled trip back...so I quickly booked one for next June!

For me it was going to Orlando in February to visit my son who lives there and NOT going to Disney.....it made me want to back and do it right!!!

We decided to go next May as a celebration of my hubby coming home safely from Afganistan. Granted, it's a bit early to think of his homecoming(especially since he hasn't left yet). But, it's something for all of us to dream about during his deployment. I'll know he'll enjoy the Pixie dust of Disneyworld after breathing in all that yucky desert dust..

wanting to see our grandbaby reacts to mk and since it's our anniversary coming up figured how could her parents say "no" if we are paying ? :rotfl: we were trying to decide what to do for our ann.( europe, hawaii, ???) and really wanted to do this most.

Two words: Free Dining!

We're leaving tomorrow! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My neighbor is going to Florida for 2 weeks and hearing "Vacation" talk sparked it for me. We decided to book our vacation for June '06 with our kids and celebrate our 10 Anniversary.

Funny thing is....... My neighbor who is going to Florida for 2 weeks is only going to WDW for 1 day!!! :confused3 I don't know how ANYONE can go to Florida and not spend more than 1 day at the parks. Of course I'm a little disney obsessed :goodvibes

What sparked our urge was that we did not go on any vacations at all for the whole 15 months that our son-in-law was over in Iraq. I was too scared to go anywhere, afraid that something would happen to him and if both myself and husband was away opur daughter would have to hear that terrible news by herself so we agreed that when he got home safely we could plan our trip..well I am happy to say that he is home, he is safe and we are now going to Disney! We can't wait!

My husband and I had just finished our busy County Fair week in May (we're 4-H leaders) and came home to find a FedEx envelope saying we won the Alamo Family Vacation Sweepstakes, with only one entry. :cool1: :rotfl2:

So we're off next Saturday to enjoy a week in the magic with our two young adult kids and their significant others. :wizard:

Yesterday morning I looked at my husband and said, "You know, if we didn't have pets, we might have to do something spontaneous like jump in the car and go to the Food and Wine Festival and spend the night!"

So I have to say it was a combination of knowing the Festival was going on, and the weather not being unbearably hot. (living 2 hours and 15 minutes door-to-door from WDW is a given.)

BTW, DH was absolutely beside himself at the idea and wanted to call our pet sitter to see if she was available....slightly cooler heads (mine!) prevailed and we decided to wait for our scheduled trip in 2 weeks. :rotfl:

Congratulations! I always say, it only takes one entry (or one lottery ticket) to do the trick! ::yes::

For me, it was two cancelled trips 10 months apart (one hurricane/one cancer scare and surgery), one two day park hopper still unused, and unexpected $600 falling in my lap and a couple of DIS pals :disrocks: saying "come on down for the last weekend of the F&WF".....and for even more rationalization....it's my birthday week :cake: Now I just have to get the OK Monday for the time off (watch them try and stop me)!

lol !we have friends with a time share not far from wdw and they never go! never have gone to more than the mk for 1 day and they have a child...they ask us every year to go but all they do is go to the beach...boring....i live on a lake and can do that anytime

I will share a secret of what sparked our trips. Me and DW were going to be married. We were thinking of where to go for our honeymoon. Something made me say "how about Disney?". We got married on 4-4-04(and yes at 4:00pm) and the next day off to Disney. Like most who have never been before we did not know what to expect and didn't realize how it would be the week of Easter. We did find the Dis so that helped.

When we got back, not even 2 weeks and I asked for another trip. This time it was Dec of 04. Breath taking is all I can say. Well April of 05 came and I started to talk to my Dad again who now happens to live in FL. About 3 hours away. So what was going to be a weekend trip and also happens to be on my bday, has now turned into a 10 day FL vacation. 3 Nights and 2 days at my dads and then we drive to Disney at 4am and check in. But something new needed to happen. It didn't hit me until Disney released the new code that just came out. What can we do that we haven't done before. SO please don't be mad ol greatness that is Disney, but the 1st day we are going to hit US and IOA.

Both DW and I are very excited and cannot wait. As you can tell by my sig, I am counting the days.. :rotfl2:

FI and I pinky swore we'd go back every 3 years - unfortunately that 3rd year is also the year we're getting married (good planning, huh?). I was on the DIS one day at work and getting really jealous of everyone who had countdowns and such. So I read up on the AP and started thinking about that.... that led to a "can we do this?" train of though... that led to a quote from the travel agent... and that's how we booked our trip!! Now we're scaling down the honeymoon and hitting Disney for my birthday!!!!

hi
going in january and feb to get away from the cold, damp english weather. yes its cold sometimes at this time but never as miserabler as the u.k. in winter. it is a good time to hike and visit the everglades, can't wait :cool1:  :cheer2:

My business has picked up A LOT ( ) and we decided we would like to go back next year (Dec. '06). Well, this year we were going to completely spoil the kids for Christmas and as we were figuring the budget for everything and (as if we rehearsed it) we both looked at each and said "Disney?" That's all it took and we can't wait to surprise the kids!!! :grouphug:
