What song......

Hey now, Hey now don't dream it's over. (Don't know the real name of it- and I think it's by Crowded House) from 90210(the earlier years of it) I didn't like the song until later on though.

Oh and "Looking for love in all the wrong places.." from the movie Urban Cowboy!

When I hear the opening notes of Waiting for a Girl Like You by Foreigner, I always think of the scene in Footloose when they're dancing.

Those opening notes are almost haunting... they're so dramatic.

Everytime I hear U2's With or Without You, I think of Friends when Rachel is sitting in the window seat pissed off at Ross and Ross is playing the song on the radio to try to win her back.

My Heart Will Go On from Titanic.

In Your Eyes, by Peter Gabriel--John Cusack holding the boombox over his head in Say Anything.... I love that movie!

Every time I hear Unchained Melody I automatically think of Ghost.

Life is a Highway......from the movie, Cars.

::yes:: What they said!

There is a song by OMD that was the ending song in Pretty in Pink, that one too.

All I Want Is You by U2 in Reality Bites where Winona is grieving over the loss of Ethan what's his name.............

Mr. Brightside from the Killers always reminds me of The holiday, when Cameron Diaz is belting it out.

Also, unchained melody which some other posters mentioned

OOOH- me too and dare I add that Footloose is one of my all time favorite movies.:blush:

OMD song is If you Leave, I used to love it!

Every time I hear Unchained Melody I automatically think of Ghost.

The Breakfast Club - Don't you forget about me

What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong always reminds of Good Morning Vietnam.

::yes:: All these.

Also, Wild Sex in the Working Class by Oingo Boingo = The Geek dancing around an embarassed Sam in Sixteen Candles.

And Holiday Road = National Lampoon's Vacation

(Can you tell I'm a child of the 80's?)

Moon River. The scene in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" where Audrey Hepburn is playing the song on her guitar while sitting on the fire escape..with George Peppard listening...

I Say a Little Prayer-My Best Friend's Wedding ad the resturant scene

Barry Manilow's "Ready to take a Chance again" - Foul Play.

"Hale Malekemaka" always reminds me of the scene in Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas Vacation when Clark looks out his kitchen window to see the imaginery pool scene in his back yard.

Although this song came out way, way, way after I got out of high school..."Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams always brings me back to my HS days and what was the "garage band" era in the late 60's and early 70's.

As someone mentioned on the first page of this thread about songs just reminding you of a moment or place in your life time: anything by AC/DC reminds me of driving my brand new '79 Firebird out of the high school parking lot with my 8 Track player blaring and my windows down :rotfl: :lmao: OMG, if my girls saw me do that today! (I still crank it up when Highway to Hell or Back in Black comes on :))
