What smells remind you of being in WDW?

There's a certain smell, which I'm sure are the cleaning products, that you smell in pretty much all the deluxe resorts. Sometimes I open my suitcase if I haven't used it since the last Disney trip, and it will smell like that smell. I feel like I'm checked in already!

There's a funky, dusty smell in the Epcot Energy ride, just as you enter the "dinosaurs in the swamp" section. I've come across that smell from time to time, and it takes me back!

Also, the sugar-in-the-air smells mixed with vanilla on Main Street in MK is heavenly!

AHHHHH the wonderful WDW smells!!!!

the water from the water rides..... the sweet smell of main street.... the brick oven smell of the boardwalk restaurants.... the smell of grass in the morning when you leave your room and head for the WDW busses :-)

Febreeze Air Affects makes a spray called something like "Apple Spice and Delight". They only release it at Christmas time. Anyway, it smells just like the pie scene in Mickey's Philharmagic. I stock up on it when it comes out.

For me it's buses. When I smell the exhaust from a bus it reminds me of standing in the queue waiting for the Disney buses.

For me it's a blueberry muffin. When we were there on our honeymoon i had the best blueberry muffin at the bakery on Main Street that i have ever had in my life! I still talk about it and that was 6 1/2 years ago so whenever i smell a fresh blueberry muffin, it brings me right back.:goodvibes

I love that smell during Philharmagic! Thanks for the info when it comes out I have to try it!:thumbsup2

For me it's Coppertone Suntan Lotion. That ALWAYS reminds me of WDW.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I won't buy any other kind of sunscreen now because the Coppertone spray reminds me of WDW!!!

Hawaiian Tropic or Panama Jack lotion...

When I was very young & we went to FL & WDW (mid 70s/early 80s) I always bought this cheap cologne called "Orange Blossom" (I know - quite original)...If I could smell that it would take me back to first trips to WDW. :goodvibes

I was walking up the stairs in a Doothy Perkins/Burtons clothes shop (people from UK will no wot this shop is!) anyway... i smelt the smell of spash mountain, the water or something! also i llive in belfast and there is an intercontinental food market set up in our city centre and the smell of sweets reminded me of the wee stalls in WDW!

We have several Rain Forest Cafe's not too far away and I love going to them for my disney fix! I can pretend that I'm Downtown Disney!

Also, I love the smell of an early morning rain! It reminds me of WDW in the summer time! :goodvibes

My father cut into a watermelon tonight after dinner, and I shouted "Its Soarin". For some reason it had that fresh smell that you smell right before enter the ride, and also the smell when you are going over the fields! I made everyone smell it! Then that led into the discussion if "I were in Disney right now where would I be?" himm....:goodvibes

The Main Street bakery in the morning! But nothing taste as good as it smells except for the chocolate chip cookies at Sleepy Hollow! They are awesome!!
Six months from tomorrow, I should be there!!!:cool1:

totally dating myself now, but, Welch's White Grape Juice, when I was a kid, we were the the family that always packed a cooler and hiked back out to the parking lot to have a meal, but, I was "allowed" to get a white grape juice. Yummy

anybody else recall the Welch's stands??

Michelle in NY

I know this is way off the topic but I have to say it isn't so much the smell for me but the sound of the local transporation buses that pass by my house everyday. It brings me right back to Disney real quick.

my parents and i were in a restaurant ( i forget which one) and it smelled just like sci-fi and they agreed. Theres just something about the smells at wdw..gotta love them!

My DD8 insists on buying smoked turkey legs @ Wal-Mart Deli... Each time I get a whiff of the smell it takes me back to Disney :rotfl:

OK, I've been waiting for a thread to share this twisted piece of information, I don't feel I'm home in WDW until I go into one of the park bathrooms. They have a citrus type air freshener that I've never smelled anywhere else.:goodvibes
