I have some wonderful designs for shirts and I'm getting ready to print the transfer paper. What size should the design be for the shirts? I am making shirts for both adults and children. Thanks for your help.

Hello :) it really depends on what size the designer made it. You could reach out to your designer and ask them what size they make their designs to print. You should always do a print preview before printing. This will show you if the design is larger than one page in which case you should use fit to page. However, if you use fit to page on a smaller design it will make it look blurry on your final product.
You can re-size in word but keep the above in mind. I would lay the blank transfer on each shirt to see how large you think it would look best. I really depends on the size of the person/shirt so you will have to use your best judgment.
Also if you are printing on transfers or magnets I would do a test page on plain paper (black and white if you want to save on color ink) to make sure you have your settings correct. Always select photo quality or the highest quality print setting under your printer options.
Good luck :)
