What size album do you use for WDW trips?

I know I will have a separate album for our upcoming trip, but I'm not sure what size I will want. I normally use 12x12 CM albums, but I'm afraid that I won't have enough to fill it up. I did a 12x12 of DH's trip to South Korea, and it doesn't look right, because there aren't enough pages. I usually use several pics on each page for 12x12. I'm thinking 8-1/2 x 11 might work better for me, but I don't want it to be too small.....

I'm starting my first Disney book. I went with a 12x12, I'm sure I'll have a enough to fill it. I'm trying to get two trips in one book...so it looks like I'll have to cut some things out. I always take way to many pics at WDW!;)

PS...I usually try get 5-6 or more pics per page.

For overall trip scrapping I use the 12X12, but I will put multiple trips in one book (2-3). For autograph books I've used the 7 X 7 and the 81/2 X 11. I really liked the bigger album for the autographs and when you have a ton (my son had 48 one year) it works better to have the pic and autograph on one page.

For our first trip to WDW, I did 81/2 x 11 and ended up with 88 pages. Almost every layout was at least two pages because you just don't have much room on each sheet. This time I'm doing 12 x 12 and enjoying the ability to spread out a little on each page. I can use larger photos and more embellishments, as well. My scrapbook won't be nearly so thick, but I really think each page is going to be much nicer to look at.

Honeypots, you make a good point as well, to be able to use larger pictures, I hadn't really thought about it that way.

The album will be for this trip only, which is why I was thinking 8-1/2 x 11. Maybe I should wait until I get my pictures to decide, that way I know how much I have?

I've started buying paper, I've bought all 12x12, but I can cut it if I need to.

Thanks for the input!

12x12 and recently I haven't had a problem filling them. As a matter of fact, like someone else has posted on a different thread, I ran out of room in the WDW books!! I have "catch all" Disney books for the kids that their "extra" layouts go in. They hold several trips and are in order... it's just from different trips.

Since going digital, I LOVE using 8x10s and 5x7s!! I'd never be able to use 8.5x11... LOL!!

I have no trouble filling the 12x12 pages, with Disney trip pics ;) Tho' I've taken 4 Disney cruises and I'm tempted to put them all in one book.

My biggest problem was remembering which pics went with which trip. For a few years when I lived in Atlanta I was able to take 6 or 7 trips a year (long 4 day weekend type trips.) On another trip we stayed at AKL and I ended up with 105 pics, that turned out really well, of the giraffes outside our room. Unfortunately, I'm a few years behind in scrapping some of my trips... And I haven't even started on my Italy trip (16 days, 1100 pictures) -- I may not scrap all of those but include a CD at the back of the book with the ones I don't scrap.

Ahh, the joys of Digital cameras :) I took a lot of pics when I used my film SLR, but I'm outta control with my digital!

Editted to fix the typos which were driving me nuts.

I've used all kinds of different sizes to scrap our WDW trips... 12x15, 12x12, 8x10, and even 5x7! They all end up being realllly thick, LOL!! For our upcoming trip, I'm planning to use an 8x8. I figure this way I can still buy the 5x7s at the park and use them in our book without having to scan and reduce them. :)

I used a 12x12 book for our 10 day trip in 2003. It has about 45 pages in it! (90) I had no problem filling it up at all! I think I took about 14 rolls of film.

When I went for just 5 days last fall, I just incorporated those pictures in my family album, again 12x12. Same with our Disneyland trip we just took.

I am making a 7x7 album of our DL trip for my DS and I think he will get a kick out of that.

I think the 8.5x11 size might be a good idea, but also remember that lots of those cool stickers, banners, titles, etc., that you might pick up at the scrapbook store might be designed for the bigger album pages.

I always scrap our WDW trips in 12x12. I take soooooo many photos that I can easily fill an album, even on a four day trip. Our september trip, my ds and dd (and hey let's be honest, me too) are doing our first 7x7 autograph album/photo album. So that should be fun.

I did 2 DL books 12 x 12 and I personally dont like the size so I'm back to 8.5 x 11- yeah I get less per page but I love it soo much better :)

I take tons of pictures on vacations so there's never a problem with filling an album.

On special occasion albums. I will use the 8 1/2 x 11 books. A one day event that I may only have 1 maybe 2 rolls of film of. I agree placed in a 12 x 12 album would make for a skimpy looking album. These smaller albums are great for this.

Use the size that fits your needs and gives the most pizazz.

I always use a 12x12. We are going in Dec to take our then 6 month old for her first trip and am sure I will fill up a 12x12. CM does have a new 7x7 disney album that is nice looking. Or maybe you should wait and see how many pictures and memoriblia you bring back for the book, before you pick one out. There is the scrapbook store at DTD that might have a nice book too. But whatever you decide the fun part is putting it together to remember over and over again.
