What should I expect the first week of July?

Hi everyone! The only feasible time for our trip is the first week in July. There will be 5 of us - DH, me, DD 11, DS 6 and DS 2 (three weeks shy of his third birthday! We're thinking of doing a celebration day down there too). What should I expect re: crowds, etc? Any tips? This is our first trip! I've been once in 1991 when I was 17. We cannot wait. TIA

We were there this year (2004) for the 4th of July and found out after the fact that that is one of the busiest days of the year. We waited over an hour for the bus at OKW to take us on property. The grocery stores were packed, each line was 10+ deep. I will never go back for that time. And it was HOT!

Hmmm, maybe we'll spend most of July 4th at the resort pool LOL

Hi - just wanted to tell you that I will be there along with my DD 11 and DS 8 at Pop for a night on 7/2 then off to Old Key West Resort from 7/3 to 7/8 .. I am not doing any parks on 7/4 due to them being so crowded but I think we will instead maybe do dinner and watch the fireworks from the Poly beach.

I don't want to be a "downer", but it is usually extremely crowded all through the month of July, and very HOT!!! We live an hour away, and usually don't do Disney during July because of the heat and crowds - lots of Brazilian tour groups!!! Just take lots of water, spray fans, etc. and dress in cool clothing - oh, and lots of sunscreen!

Thanks Crzy4pooh! And WOW! WTG on your WL!! I lost 20# on Atkins last summer and have maintained but have another 40 to lose. I'm thinking of doing WW. Maybe I'll PM ya for info and stuff if that is ok?

We will be there DH--DD-18/17/16 & DS 12 from July 3-8 then we're off to relax in Daytona for 7 days ( I think we'll need it after the parks ) I am sure it's probably crazy during July but thats the crazyness that some of us will have to go through . I still can't wait !!!!!!
