What should I eat for lunch at Marakkesh?

I have lunch reservations here for my upcoming trip, and am not sure what to order. I've looked at the menu, and several things look good.

Here's my questions:
How is the soup on the appetizer menu?
What comes with the shish kabobs?
Are the couscous well cooked or crunchy? (I've had a bad couscous experience)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I can only help with the last question.

When I had dinner there in September, the couscous was well-cooked, not crunchy at all. It was a tad bland, but still good.

Hope this helps!

Ohhh...chicken tagine (they call it lemon chicken, I think) or chicken or seafood bastilla. YUM!

The beef roll! It was soooo good. I am not a very adventurous eater but DH and I vowed to try some new things when we were there in October. We ate at Marakkesh and I had the lunch special. It was the beef roll, chicken kebobs with seasoned rice and an apple crepe. YUMMMMM! The beef roll though, seriuosly, was delish!

There are two kebabs with chicken or beef and some peppers skewered on the sticks. it comes with seasoned rice and the kebabs are in a mildly seasoned tomato sauce- very very good. i love the crepes atlas and the beef rolls and chicken bastilla.

This is my absolute favorite. I had it twice for dinner on our last trip. Yum!

I always order the chicken couscous for dinner, and the beef rolls as an appetizer, the food is so great there!!

I agree entirely with the above responses, and the soup- wow! Delicious!

We also love the hot mint tea.

My favorite meal there is the beef brewats for an appetizer, the beef kabobs for an entree (comes with awesome couscous) and well...I've never made it to desert.

The lemon chicken is also good. I tried the chicken kabobs once - didn't like them as much as the beef (and I am not a big beef eater). I didn't like the soup at all.

The Jasmine salad was yummy. We really enjoyed the beef brewat roll, couscous and the beef Kabobs. DH enjoyed the Lamb Meshoi? and he isn't a big fan of lamb. Great choices all around :)
