What should I do?

I am planning a super secret surprise trip for my family. Nov. 30- Dec. 4th. I am just checking air fare, and I have found for the five of us under $1000 on American Airline from MSP to MCO.. Should I book, even though DH doesn't love connecting flights? We stop in Chicago where we might pick up dear sis and bro-in-law for more surprises! HELP!!!!

I guess my question would be is that a decent price for you normally to fly. I booked for 4 of us non-stop flights from BWI to MCO for less than $800.

So $1000 for 5 sounds pretty good to me!

Yes, that is a good price for the five of us. I had found some for about $100 more- possibly- and that is non-stop, which my family prefers. So, for the non-stop for the extra $$.... or for the stop in Chicago to pick up dsis and dbil? I am just queezy trying to make this decision myself. Aargh!

The age of the kids would be the determining factor for me. My youngest is going to be 4 when we go and it is his first time flying. I wanted to be on a non stop for sure, just easier.

If your kids are young I would probably spend the extra and go non stop. If they are older and stopping/switching planes is not a big deal than save the $$$$ and stop!

Book it! The extra surprise of sister and BIL will be worth the layover. Have a great time.

Thanks guys for all the help.
I have it on hold until tomorrow night. I'm trying to get hold of my sister, but no luck. I'm still think I'm going to book it. I wanted to keep the air under a thousand, and this way I can.
The kids will be DD13, DD10 and DS10, so the extra time won't be a big deal. The biggest draw back will be DH, who prefers non stop, but if I am paying for the whole thing all by myself, there will be NO complaining allowed!
