what should i do??Please help!!

hello
we are going to be at disney 11/20 and leaving the 11/24.I will arrive on the 20th at 10pm so that day is gone.I want to be able to go to parks without a car.My hubby is going too and we will have a rental but i have learned to plan on him not going to parks as much as we will be.LOL.I want to stay at the contemporary but dont know if i can swing the price.We are looking between POFQ or maybe ASM.My kids are 8DD and 11DS.
Which one of these would be the easiest to get to the parks.Also our main park will be MK!!I know this is a busy time of year so if anyone has been during this time and stayed at 1 of these hotels that could give us info on times getting to and from MK.

I don't know about the transportation differences btw AS and POR, but have you considered Wilderness Lodge? There's a boat running btw MK and WL that is quick and convenient; not as quick as the monorail, but the WL often has discount codes that could bring the price of a standard room down in the $115-125 range--cheaper than the Contemporary. Just an idea.

We stayed at POR and, since they share a bus with POFQ, I can speak on transportation. If you stay at either POFQ or ASM you will be taking a bus to MK. I have heard that busses from ASM are more crowded or slower but I cannot say for sure. The bus system from PO is nice and, with your kids at that age, busses really won't be a concern. If you can't afford CR you really shouldn't worry about it. The busses really don't take too long from PO and it should be fine for your family.

thanks i will look at the WL as well did not think of that one.I had heard busses from AS was slow at times.I heard the ride from POFQ was not as bad as AS was.I think my DD would love AS but she gets really cranky when she is tired LOL.I want to stay and see the fireworks at MK so will it be horrible on my way back to the hotel from MK.I am not that concerned with getting to the park i am leaning on the way back.LOL.This is our first trip so i am writing down and printing out all my tips and secrets.LOL.I will study them like a class in college before i leave home.]

We stayed in POR on our last visit (Nov. 6 - 10), which shares busses with POFQ. Normal waits at the bus stop were 5 to 10 minutes and I think the longest commute time we had was to AK. It was around 20 min, but that included a stop at BB first. It was usually about 15 min. to MK. From POFQ it would be a little longer though since the bus picks up there first. We only had a problem getting to MK once, when we were going back in the evening to see Spectro. Apparently everyone else was doing the same thing as three busses came by full. But you probably wouldn't have that problem at the FQ since it is the first stop. Also, we were toting around a stroller, which if we hadn't had we probably could have squeezed on one of the fuller busses! Have fun!

i could not stand it any longer i changed my ressies from the Holiday Inn across from Universal to the Port Orleans French Quarter from 11-20 to 11-24 and staying onsite at Universal at the Royal Pacific from 11-24 to 11-27.We are doing 3 days at Disney and 3 at Universal/IOA.I am soooo excited i cant wait till November!!My hubby is going to love this place i do believe.Cant wait till he gets home tonite to show him all the pics i found for the hotel.Thanks for your help.I think me and the kids will do fine getting to MK with this hotel.Maybe next time i can budget early for the Contemporary!!
