What should I do in Las Vegas?

Wow, seems like there is a lot to do...and some very interesting fun things to do. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks.

Just remember:

Whatever happens in Lost Wages,
Stays in Lost Wages!!!

(Hopefully, some of you have seen the commercials where that line came from.)

We will be in Vegas in June and I'm looking so forward to it. We went when I was 18 but that was 14 years ago!

Someone mentioned a monorail, where does it go?? Also is the mall a real mall with all the normal shops or is it a specialty mall?

There is a mall on the strip, but when we went it was undergoing renovations and I wasn't impressed. It was just past Circus Circus, if I remember right. Then, a bunch of the hotels have extension shopping malls within them, with your regular shops... like Ann Taylor, Build a Bear, Gap, etc. Others, like the Bellagio and Venetian, have upscale shopping areas... for us, we just wandered until we found stuff =) That was part of the fun =) You can always pick up brochures at the airport when you get there, and at the conceirge desk at your hotel. That's all we did... the first hour or so we hung out a the pool and flipped through the stuff and made notes of what we wanted to see... like the volcano, pirate fight, tigers, fountains, etc.

The only monorail I remember is the one that goes from MGM to the hotel on the other side of Paris... the one that Paris connected to, er, can't remember. We stayed at Paris and could walk through to that hotel, and take the monorail to the MGM. It was a good AC way to get to MGM and NYNY. Cuts out a couple of hotels and long walks. Its amazing how big these hotels are...

The monorail runs between MGM and Bally's. There is one on the other side of the street that goes from the Monte Carlo to another casino I can't remember right now.

Check out Margaritaville Cafe (Jimmy Buffet) at the Flamingo. What a fun place! It just opened in January. If you can, see a Cirque du Soliel show, either Mystere or O. Both are wonderful. Visit M&M world and see the 3-D movie, what a hoot. My favorite casinos are the Venetian and the Paris, but you must visit the forum shops at Caesars Palace too. Yes, the Bellagio is a must-see too, the fountains, the art exhibit and the conservatory are all neat to see. To get a drink, you might want to hit Harrah's, they have that outdoor bar and stage where the bartenders do the fancy tricks when pouring the drinks. Plus they have an oxygen bar there. Hope that helps.

One of my favorite things is the breakfast buffet at Paris. Great food and atmosphere!

I am so going to Margaritaville!! I didn't realize that was there, I am so glad someone mentioned that.

You guys are so great.

Ok, Heidi. Even tho I am not coming with nor was I invited have fun. These people have given you so many cool ideas. Have a drink at Margaritaville for me. MOM

Okay I have talked to 2 people at my work and they told me that there is something like a Slurpee station in the basement of MGM near the MTV store and at this station they sell a bunch of frozen alcoholic drinks to choose from in huge glasses. They told me they have drinks such as hurricanes, smurfs, margaritas, daquiries (sp) and other drinks. Has anyone else seen this? Could it possibly be on the same level as Emerills restaurant?

Yep! I'm sure that's the place we bought ours at last summer. It's right near Emerill's. They were wonderful....:hyper:

All different flavors...very yummy ::yes::
