What shoes with eggplant....

I just found an eggplant dress for a wedding I have in 2 weeks(Sat night fancy wedding) What color shoes should I look for? I'm thinking either pewter or siver or gold. Thoughts?

I wore an eggplant color dress to a wedding last year and wore silver strappy heels.

I was thinking silver or pewter but my friend thinks gold. Bare legs and open toe for sure though, just have to go look I guess.

That's what I was thinking...I thought gold would look too 'harsh'. I'm leaning towards pewter because silver can be too much.

My wedding dress is an eggplant purple (even the model in the photo is wearing silver shoes, I think), and I'm wearing silver shoes (not a shiny metallic - they're a matte satin):

What's your skin tone? Ordinarily, I think a muted silver would work really well with eggplant, but I still would want to know your coloring....because that darker pewter could be right, depending upon how it shoes against your legs.

LOL, I actually called it eggplant. My daughter grew eggplants in her little garden this summer and they were the exact color of the dress.


I bought shoes, btw! Went with a pair of 'cement' colored shoes...lol. Like wet cement. They are really nice. Hopefully I don't break my ankle because they are about 6 inches high.
