What section at SSR and BWV?? Can we request?

I made our first DVC ressies today. WOOHOO. Then afterwards I thought about special requests (I know they are just that...not guaranteed) and certain sections or areas? I don't know much about either place. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. We do plan on swimming at both places quite a bit. We reserved a Standard view at BWV. Thanks

Standard view will be along the main drive into the resort at BWV.

SSR - all areas have a pool. The Springs is closest to the main pool and Carriage House. The Grandstand will have a second themed pool, not sure when that opens.

Oh thanks. So I guess we can make a request if we want to be close to the main pool.

Yes, but we tried to request the Grandstand and they would not allow us to since it isn't open yet. But we tried, thinking it surely would be open by June when we will arrive...no go. So we asked for Congress Park with a view of Downtown Disney!

Congrats on your trip!!!1 We went to SSR last May and LOVED staying in Congress Park. Our balcony had a gorgeous view of Downtown Disney, day or night. We had our own quiet pool which was always empty, and it has the shortest walk to DD. We did have to hoof it to the main pool and food, but it never bothered us a bit. Have a great trip.

I think the biggie is to ask to be near the elevators at the BW. from what i hear, some of the room can be quite far.

We've stayed at SSR several times and always been in Congress Park, but I think all the buildings are quite nice. You might want to request to be away from any construction.
