Hello,

I am a single parent planning a trip with two 5yrs old twins from September 14 to 21, 2014.

This could be a weird post for some of you, although it is not for me, because I love to plan in advance and I don't want to lose time in queues of attractions that the party won't be able to fit or ride.

I am 215 pounds and 1.70. My kids are light weight and they already passed the 40" barrier.

Would you please provide me a list of those rides that my kids and me won't be able to ride? I remember that there is a rule of no child under 7 years riding alone, so I refer to those rides exclusively for two people or with limited space to accommodate us.

I have been trying to find information about the rides, but I think that this is too specific.

I hope the list be short. Without doubt, this will be an eyeopener for me.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards,
Edgar

I hope you have an amazing trip! There is no weight restriction on rides at disney world. As long as you are comfortable in the seat you can ride! If I understood your post you are 215 and I would say you will be fine to ride everything. Have a magical vacation!:):):)

My husband is a big guy (bigger than you), and he has never been unable to ride anything. In fact, we have always been comfortable (and I'm not tiny, either) riding together. There is a 250 pound limit if you take a Segway tour, but you probably won't because all riders must be over 16, and if you do, you are already under the weight limit. Disney World is very accommodating to those with Pooh-like proportions. Have fun!

My DH is 6 ft 6 and 225 lbs..the rock and roller coaster he said was not comfortable but everything else has been fine. My friend's hubby is tall and over 300 lbs and has been fine too. I am only 5 ft 2..so to me the rides are super spacious.

I think what the OP is asking that because there is three of them are there rides that they can't all ride in the same car etc and then because the kids are under 7 they can't ride alone or with each other.

I am sorry I can't help because I can't remember the sizes of the ride cars.

Astro Orbitor, from memory, seemed quite tight.

If you are worried about waiting in line and not being able to ride, there's always at least one cast member at the start of the line you could ask.

I can't think of any rides off of the top of my head where there isn't room for an adult and two kids in the same row.

Edited: Just remembered Expedition Everest can only sit 2 people per row.

You haven't said whether they're both boys, both girls or one of each!

For most of our earlier trips, when DD was still under about 14, all 3 of us would sit in one row (on Buzz Lightyear, Haunted Mansion etc). Most rides are wide enough for 2 adults and a small child, so I don't see why an adult and 2 5-year-olds won't be able to fit comfortably into one row. The only 'danger' I can see is if the lapbar won't go down far enough to secure the twins if it's just comfortable on you (sorry, don't know what size you are).

However, as has been said, the CMs will be able to advise you.

Going on specifics, the ET ride at Universal could be a problem as you're sitting in mock bike-seats, and I personally find them too narrow. Also, they may be a bit high up for young children. However, you may not be going to Universal so that probably doesn't matter.

On rides like BTRR you can all sit in the one row, and you may find it better to sit between your kids so that you can put your arms round each of them if necessary.

I don't know that you'd want to sit you and two kids in one row at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. That's not to say you couldn't ride though, Our kids sat in front of dh and I and they were fine by themselves. Might just depend on the child. Anyways, DH and I were not very comfortable sitting together on that ride. Most rides are very spacious though

Hello again and thanks for your answers.

Well, Zeebs is right. I am thinking about those attractions where the three of us wont be able to ride because space limitation or ride rules. For example, if Expedition Everest just can accommodate two riders per row, that would be one of the rides that we will miss, beyond the riding tastes of my kids. Just an example.

About the question from Toffeewoffy, they are one girl and one boy :)

I was able to ride a lot of attractions in Disney last September (adults trip), but obviously, I skipped several attractions for children and that is what worries me a lot.

Any input will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

EE is going to be one that will not work for you. Two to a seat and they will (may) not let either of your kids ride alone. MOST other stuff, you will be fine. You may feel pretty tight but you will be ok.The problem with BTMR is that the bar will stop at your body and leave a pretty good space in front of both of your kids. Im sure they will be sure that you are safe to ride before you do so but it can a be a bit UN-nerving. Know also that most all rides have a moving walkway that you will need to quickly steer both kids on and into the ride car. Very doable, just need to be on your toes.

It will be fine!! Try not to worry.

I have 3 boys and and they are fine with you sitting behind your kids as long as you in the same car, there is no problem :)

Not always. The year DS was 5 there were several times they would not let him sit in a seat alone with an adult sitting in the same car right behind him. The rule is that under 7 they must be sitting next to an older person. Sometimes they were ok with it, sometimes not. Triceratops Spin and Pooh were two that I know he was not allowed to ride in front with the adult or adult and another child behind him. We find this rule not always enforced but we aware it may be.
