What rides may I NOT wear a cross-body bag on?

This is the first trip I am attempting without my beloved fanny-pack! :)

Never had to worry about removing it for a ride. Going to use a small, LeSport Sac crossbody type bag. Can I keep it on for all rides or will they make me remove it? Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

Well, I think it would be hard (if not impossible) to wear on RnR, but other than that I can't think of a ride where it would be a problem.

I wore mine on everything - I don't think you should have a problem anywhere, unless it is REALLY bulky.

Soarin' - there is a net/pouch under the seat to stow your bags. That was the one ride where I took off my bag (didn't do any coasters).

I use a small Lesportsac cross body in the parks (Kasey) and I've never had to take it off for any rides, except as the PP said for Soarin'.

I took mine off on Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom, put it in a giant Ziploc baggie and stashed it in the container in the center. And on Soarin' in the mesh pocket. I think those were the only times I took mine off, but I could be crazy. I even wore it on Space Mountain.

Overall Disney is very accommodating with small bags/backpacks and the like.

I wear a cross-body bag to the parks because I hardly ever have to take it off. I wear it on everything except Soarin'. So much easier than when I used to cary around a tote bag and always had to shove it in those mesh pockets.

I don't think there is any ride where a cross body bag would be prohibited at WDW. In some places, if it is large enough to prohibit your fastening the restraint properly, you may be asked to remove it but you can still take it with you. If you do the Kali River Rapids you may want to take it off and put it in the storage area to keep from getting it wet.

At Universal there are several rides where cross body bags are not allowed at all.

I take my Vera Bradley bag on everything. Just take your bag off and put it at your feet on certain rides. It's easy as long as it's not too big.

At Universal, they provide "free" locker rentals (for a certain amount of time you ride, if there is a malfunction, you can still get your bag out for free, you just have to have someone unlock it) It's a little bit of a PITA, but it's really nice to get a break from the bad, lol.

Universal's locker system once assigned me a locker that still had someone's stuff in it. I don't trust it. At Universal I try to put the necessary stuff in cargo pants and if I want to buy something I do it when I'm done riding.

I did all rides with a Vera Bradley mini hipster with no problems....even RnR. If there was a pouch like Soarin and Star Wars ride I used it. Otherwise I kept it on and didn't have any problems.

Well, on Soarin', they put all your bags into a luggage compartment. The only other ride I can see a problem with is RR, since it goes upside down and such.

Have a magical trip!

Wow! Thanks for the responses everyone! Soarin' was the one ride that I probably questioned the most. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks again!:goodvibes

Also, for those that are familiar with LeSportSac, it's a "Hobo" style bag.

Not too big, and the strap expands enough that I can easily wear it as a crossbody. Should it still be OK?

If I remember correctly I even took my bag on umm...what's the name? Rockn roller coaster. My bag was an actual backpack too! No problems! I don't recall ever not being able to take it on something.

This is what confuses me. "Keep it on"? Do you not feel safe having off your body?

You can take any bag onto any Disney attraction. Now, if you don't want to remove it from your body, then you would have to deal with whatever safety restraints are offered. Quite honestly, I would just take the bag off, put it into whatever holder is on the attraction or, if there isn't one, just put it at your feet like everyone else. There will be just a few people on an attraction that DON'T have a bag so it's really no big deal.
