Iam trying to work out my plan of attack for the parks. I am definitly going to arrive at rope drop for MK....But what shall I ride first with my dd6 and ds14.

The unnoficial guide says Dumbo...but as I have no experience I am not sure.
Can my Dh run to Smountain for fast passes whilst I take kids straight to FL or do you all have a different plan of attack. :)

Definitely head straight for Fantasyland since it gets the most crowded by afternoon. I got to Splash Mountain about half an hour after opening and walked right on the ride, so that would probably be a good plan for your DH :thumbsup2

i plan to head for splash mountain and also grab a couple of fast passes at the same time!!! :cool1:

We always head to Fantastyland and hit Dumbo, Peter Pan and the like right away. It gets very crowded there by lunchtime and stays that way! On our Oct trip we did everything in Fantasyland between 9:30 and 11:30 and had time to do the Indycars before lunch!

fast pass for BTMRR then spalsh Mountain pixiedust:

Do you think I would need to get a fast pass for Buzz first thing or big thunder mountain?

If you get in first thing, you won't need a fastpass for anything--you can just walk on most mornings. :cool1:
We usually go straight to SplashM, then BTMRR, then Tomorrowland for SpaceM, then Buzz, then on through Fantasyland. It seems weird, but it works! :confused3

If DS5 is in charge it's Splash Mountain. We do that 4 times on the trot, because there are really no lines at all for the first half hour or so. Then we go over to BTMR.

This last trip we went to Fantasyland first, right at opening, and we got to walk on all the rides we wanted to do. Splash Mountain was closed, so it was easy to persuade DS.

Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Railroad - usually in that order. They are our favorites and we try to ride them as many times as possible.

i love splash mountain - so i go to that first.

It is the best log flume ever.

what my family and I do is we usually go to the left to Adventure land cause most people go to the right to tomorrowland first. We got there and were the first people on the first boat ride on the jungle cruise. we walked all the way around to tomorrowland and the only time we hit "traffic" was in the middle near frontierland.then as soona s we got passed frontierland it was smooth sailing once again.

I have to agree with Fantasyland. We always go there first but we ride Dumbo late at night.

We ride Splash Mountain and then get fast passes for Thunder Mountain. If it's not too busy then we go on TM right after SM. Then we head to Tomorrowland and go on the Tomorrowland Speedway, because that is one of the worst queues to stand in when it's hot and busy! Then we'll head for Buzz :)

Hmmm well I don't think we ever really head for a ride "first" but I know every time we're in MK I keep driving my mom towards Splash Mtn.! Love that ride but hate it when we hafta wait 3 hrs!

We always head for Dumbo first. It is one of my toddler's favorite rides. Then, we hit the other rides in Fantasyland. We ride the FL rides and are ready for Toontown when it opens at 10:00! :goodvibes

Right to Space Mountain- we can usually walk right on 2 times in a row without any wait. Then as the line starts- we head to Buzz lightyear. Then to Fantasyland for Pooh, Peter Pan and whatever else strikes us at that time- then Haunted Mansion- over to Splash and BTMR get a fast pass for whatever one has the most recent return time- grab lunch- if the time is up we grab a fast pass for whatever other one we didn't do- SM or BTMR- ride Splash-then the other.....then we head over to pirates and the carpet ride ..that is the usual plan of attack. We don't run to Splash first because we don't want to be wet starting our day...
If you go to FL and skip Dumbo(big mistake in my book...a HUGE time killer-slow loading ride) You will walk right onto peter pan, and pooh. The philarmagic is a huge room and very easy to get into- so we save that for when we are tired.
oops I forgot the other slow moving line ride- the race cars--- we try to fit that in after Buzz on our way to FL*we also usually hit the tea cups then... dd loves those tea cups.
With the ages of your children I would head to either of the Roller Coasters first then head to FL IMHO Have fun and now you know my secrets....don't tell anybody ok ;)

ours are totally based on "tradition" rather than crowds

mk we head for buzz however with grandbaby next trip might be different

mgm rnr and tot

ak safari but probably will do ee since we always go at rope drop and that will probably be the shortest waits

epcot usually spaceship earth more cause we can walk right on and it's one of the few old ones still there. next time might make it to soaring next or maybe start there since we really aren't crazy about tt and husband hates ms.

we go off season so traditions are ok, we don't have a long wait for stuff any way

Also traditional.

The first time we went to DL, the first ride we ever rode was the train around the theme park. We have continued to do that, every time we go back. And we have continued on with that tradition at MK and DLP.

For EPCOT, I think the traditional ride is Spaceship Earth. We have yet to come up with a traditional ride for DAK, MGM, and DCA, but we'll get there. And we have yet to visit TDL and HKDL, but we'll get there, too.

You can't go wrong hitting FL first, especially with younger kids in the party. We usually do some Tomorrowland rides first (Buzz, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway).

We would always go to splash mountain first then thunder mountain. That was tradition. Then came daughter. Now the last 3 years are high tail it over to Fantasy land and Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pooh and Snow White get top billing now. When she is a bit older I am sure we will go back to the old tradition. :teeth:
