What Rides Did Your 18 Month Old Love And Hate?

17 mo loved Small World, Peter Pan, Pooh, carousel, dumbo. She was a little unsure on pirates until we started looking for the animals. Shows were a little more tricky than rides with her, but she enjoyed them... just had to keep her busy.

At 18 months we were in Disneyland...but she loved Playhouse Disney the most - like we have to see it several times, small world, peter pan, and carousels. She doesn't "get" Dumbo - even at 2. I think it looks funner from the outside than from inside. I've been immersing her in Disney from day 1 - so the storylines in Disney Playhouse are very familiar.

I have a friend whose 21-month old daughter met the height requirement for Space Mountain at Disneyland (I kid you not. I think the requirement might be lower at Disneyland due to side-to-side seating), and, well, her daughter was obsessed with riding Space Mountain.

40" to be exact.

44" in MK... that stinks..

if it was 40" I think he'd have gotten to that before his 3rd bd..

She loved It's a Small World, The Carousel, Peter Pan's Flight, Living with the Land, the boat ride in Mexico, the dumbo like ride in Dinoland at AK (something spin?).

Oh, Living With The Land! Good one! We'll be in Epcot too, so thats perfect, and I havent been on that in forever!! Do they still have that "Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit" show in The Land Paviliion? I used to love that when I was a kid!

LOVED
Philharmagic
Carousel
Dumbo
It's a Small World
Jungle Cruise
Finding Nemo
Crush Talk
Playhouse Disney
Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Where is Turtle Talk? Is that in Epcot too?

I really wanna take my DD to Playhouse Disney now! I didnt know they had Daisy n Pluto and what not! She watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every day and LOVES it:lovestruc !! And she watches the rest of Playhouse Disney every Saturday. She would love that at this age![\QUOTE]

The Playhouse Disney show is really cute but the characters aren't the life-sized ones that walk around the park. They are puppets that pop up from under the stage. You sit on the floor so the top of the stage is above you a bit. This allows them to hide all of the electronics needed to move the puppets and staging. Mickey & the gang, Little Einsteins, Pooh & Friends & Handy Mandy and the Tools all appear on the stage. It's so much fun and the little ones just light up when they see the characters appear!

Here's a picture of the stage and the puppets. http://images.google.com/imgres?img...+hollywood+studios&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbs=isch:1

At 21 months old, our DD didn't like Turtle talk. It was too old for her I think. It seems more geared towards kids 4 & up.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about Turtle Talk, I feel like she might not get it enuf and it is interactive so maybe no point? Its Epcot right?
I'm loving this Playhouse Disney thing, Cant believe I never knew about it b4 this thread. Then again I was never on the lookout for it til I had my DD :rotfl:!
Not that im gonna take my DD on BTMRR, but it got me thinking, do they even have a height restriction? I feel like Ive never seen one before!
Oh and my mother brought up a good point...do u think its ok to take an 18 mo old on the raceway? She thought the fumes and cars bumping into ea other was not safe for that age!:confused3
