What rides/attractions do you never seem to make it to?

We have been to WDW 6 times as a family and there are several attractions/show that we just don't seem to make it. Its not because we have anything against them and some I always say "this time we are....."

Magic Kingdom - Tiki Room, Tom Sawyer Island, Swiss Family Tree House, train

Animal Kingdom- Nemo, (finally saw Lion King the last visit)

Epcot- Circle of Life

Disney Studios- Indiana Jones, Magic of Animation, Beauty and the Beast, Lights Motor Action

Looks like its the shows or none ride attractions that we miss. I just can't keep DH and kids away from the rides. :worship::worship:

MK: Besides the Mine Train, I've done everything at MK except the liberty belle riverboat. Never seem to make it on there.

Hollywood Studios: The art of animations studio. IT's on my priority list in September. Think my artsy fartsy DD will love it. Also, never ventured into the American Idol attraction.

The only attractions now that we have not at least tried are ones that we really aren't interested in (apart from 7DMT which has opened subsequent to our last visit). However, Tom Sawyer Island has been on our list every year since 2009, but we haven't ever made it back since and it is now priority this year. We've usually missed it because we dragged our feet getting over there and left it too late or mostly bad timing on our part and having a thunderstorm get in the way. The other one we've missed for similar reasons is the Finding Nemo Show. We have booked a FP for it this year to ensure that we make it over. :thumbsup2 Still in AK, we have yet to make it over to Rafiki's Planet Watch and I admit that is because of me. It just feels like a hassle to get across there and get back again.

Your artsy DD will probably have a blast at DHS! Mine loves the animation class and surprised me by the level of interest she showed from an early age in the exhibits (cue 10,000 questions!).

MK:
Tom Sawyer Island - it's been 4 or 5 trips since last time we did it
Aladdin's Carpets - very low priority for us
Jungle Cruise - doing this every other trip is acceptable so we catch it when we can but don't go out of our way
Liberty Belle - probably do this every 2-3 trips
Stitch - did it once, don't need to do it again
Astro Orbiter - haven't done it in many years

AK:
Nemo - did it twice, that was enough
Rafiki's Planet Watch - have never done this but someday we'll check it out
TriceraTop Spin - very low priority

Epcot:
Captain EO - once was enough
Ellen - like it but we seem to only do it every 2-3 trips
Maelstrom - did it once and family has no desire to do it again
Circle of Life - did it once and family didn't care much for it
The country "movies" - we usually only do a couple each trip but like them

DHS:
Lights Motors Action - did it once and family doesn't have a desire to see it again, though I would. Doesn't help that we usually travel in July/August and it is very hot out there
Back Lot Tour - we like it but have skipped it occasionally

Splash has been down for either refurb or not working on my trips, so I've never ridden it

There are a number we've never been to or have only been once due to lack of interest (I'm talking to you, most of DHS). But a few that we'd like to see, but have never worked out over 6 visits are:

Illuminations (it's like we're cursed with not seeing this)
Fantasmic
Flights of Wonder
Primeval Whirl
ITTBAB
Dumbo (we were DINKS until this year)

We've been to WDW as a family three times, so I will only list the shows/attractions that I have interest in seeing/riding, but have not yet had the opportunity to:

MK: Space Mountain
EP: any of the country movies. We always have the kids with us, and they would have no interest!
AK: Expedition Everest, Nemo, Primeval Whirl, Dinosaur
HS: Fantasmic, BatB, Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones

On my last trip, when I did Flights of Wonder it was my most important thing to do that day because I had done everything in the parks (minus a couple I wouldn't do because neither I nor any family member has a remote desire to do). Of course 7DMT is on the list now but I am not worried it is at the top next time. I will say the way my family vacations at Disney, it is condusive to doing lots of the attractions/entertainment. I think we prefer doing a lot of things once and then maybe hitting a couple of rides an extra time or two vs riding the same ride over and over.

I do have to drag the kids into the country shows (not literally). My approach that gets them in is in the afternoon when it is hot tell them it will at least be a great chance to cool off for a few minutes. They are starting to understand that if you do the parks for long days (RD to closing) you need some afternoon down time.

For me, it's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST @ DHS. With the timing of the shows, it's difficult to fit them in, but for this trip I've made it a prioity, skipping INDIANA JONES, since I've experienced that twice.

Been 5+ times to WDW. I am including those things that I want to do but we never seem to make it....

MK:
hall of presidents (I went as a kid but have not been with DS and DD)
train ride around the park
seeing the musicians that play during the day

EP:
the shows about the countries (seen norway but not the others)
the entertainment in the countries (I regret not doing this more every trip...those darn kids and their love for the rides)

DHS:
nothing really (have not done Beauty, Idol, or that car stunt show...but not real interested)

AK:
Rafiki conservation station
entertaiment
DeVine
Nemo show

BTW, we did the animation class at the end of our last trip and DD loved it. we all enjoyed it so we are going to try to hit that more than once the next trip.pixiedust:

There are a number of things that I skip because I either just don't get around to it, or I just don't have any interest...

MK:
Astro Orbiter
Magic Carpets (I've ridden it, but eh)
HoP(no thanks...I'll take a name in the Tiki Room instead lol)

AK:
Flights of Wonder
Rafiki's Planet Watch

HS:
American Idol
Magic of Disney Animation
Lights, Motors, Action

Epcot:
Captain EO
Ellen's Energy Adventure
Reflections of China
O Canada
Impressions de France
Sum of all Thrills
Circle of Life

Apparently I basically go to Epcot to ride TT, Soarin and walk around the countries and that's it. LOL

My thing is, I really try to do at LEAST one new thing every time I visit. My trip in April, I FINALLY went to Club Cool, and against my better judgement, tasted Beverly (worst decision EVER, btw).

I've never done...
MK: Magic Carpets, Speedway
AK: n/a (I think I've done it all)
HS: Disney Jr
EP: France and China shows, Captain EO

Rare/Lowest Priority:
MK: Country Bears, Stitch, Tree House, Tom Sawyer Island (finally did this last week), Tiki Room
AK: All in Dinoland, Rafiki
HS: Lights Motors Action, Backlot, American idol
EP: Ellen's, Figment, Mexico ride, WS movies, Innoventions

I tend to avoid most shows in any of the parks. Only one I might see on occasion is Beauty and the Beast. Also most of the rides mainly aimed for children I avoid.

MK: On my last trip we ran out of time and didn't get to go into Storybook Circus at all.

EP:I never have enough time to actually go through every country in WS in EPCOT. I would love to spend a whole afternoon/evening going through each country and watching the movies and just taking it all in but I never seem to have time.

DHS:I have done everything here except Lights, Motors, Action! It just doesn't seem appealing to me in the hot summer months!

AK: I always want to do It's Tough to be a Bug, but never seem to get there!

Illuminations!!!

We FINALLY saw it our fourth visit to WDW.

At least it was a significant new thing to see, which there aren't too many of by your fourth weeklong+ visit!

Dan

There are plenty of things we skip because we have no interest, but there are some things I'd like to do, but we never seem to get there:

MK: Riverboat, Astro Orbiter, the People Mover (!!!). We just don't spend a lot of time in Tomorrowland. My youngest has always been too scared of monsters to do the LaughFloor, but I'm hoping that we'll finally be able to do it the next trip.

DHS: Animation Academy. We've also never tried to fit in LMA or Indiana Jones, but may try on our next trip because we're going to spend two days at DHS.

AK: Flights of Wonder. For some reason, we've always missed this.

Epcot: Maelstorm. Lines have either been too long or it's been down in the past, and then we forget to come back later to ride it. This is also the part where I confess: we've never ridden Test Track. From descriptions, it hold absolutely no appeal. It seems like it's just a car ride in a convertible to me. I can do that at home. What am I missing here?

Test Track used to be better, IMO, than it is now. Because it was themed like an actual car testing facility. Now it's just a bunch of neon lights that make you feel like you're in Tron. Essentially you're still "testing" the car's "capabilities", I just thought the original theme was better.
