What ride do you *always* do first?

Not ALWAYS, but I generally do SSE first. Usually get to Orlando late morning, get the car, check in, unpack, rest for a couple minutes and head over to Epcot.

You can bang out all of Future World (with the possible exception of Soarin) in an afternoon. Plus, Epcot is my favorite park. And SSE is the first thing I come to (and I love it), so on I go.

My son and I are really different. We start our vacation with TTA in Tomorrowland at MK. We love to just sit there and relax for a few moments and take in all the pixiedust: Magic pixiedust:

Only 14 more days until we get on that plane!!! :yay:

MK: Pirates
DHS: Rock n' Roller Coaster (Probably Toy Story next time)
Epcot: Soarin'
Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari

We always go to Hollywood Studios and see Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage! This year we are going with another family so hopefully that tradition will continue.

We always do MK first, and the first ride is always Haunted Mansion. In fact, the last ride is usually Haunted Mansion.:)

MK - Take the train over to Frontierland and ride BTMRR
Epcot - Get FP for Soarin' then ride Test Track
DHS - RNR
DAK - Kilimanjaro Safari

- Jennifer

We always go to MK first (and last for that matter!) and have a long history of going on IASW first. It seems like the perfect way to ease into Disney and usually without a line. But lately, now that we have children that must do Dumbo (or Die) we do the Dumbo Dash first thing, next PP, then Small World!

It makes me smile just thinking about it all... :goodvibes

In Epcot - Test Track
MK - Haunted Mansion or Buzz
DHS - RnR or Dh will do ToT
AK - Safari or EE

MK: always splash mountain, then pirates!

Epcot: ALWAYS spaceship earth, usually more then once. I love it! I ride that probably more then anything in all of disney world! :lmao:

AK: we usually dont have a set plan, we just go where wherever the paths take us :goodvibes:

DHS: tower of terror! the theming on that ride is absolutly magical

At Mk we always do Pirates first, at Epcot we do Space Ship Earth before running over to Soaring. At Ak we do the Safari first.

We usually do TL on the first day - Crush n Gusher. However this I year I am pregnant for the first time and will be doing MK on the first day - instead of racing to Splash like we normally would we are going to check out HM first as it was closed for refurb when we were there last year.

Always, ALWAYS POTC. I start there and end there. Some nights I have gone 15 times in one day, my little tradition is at the end of the night to get off and back on as many times as I can till they kick me out!LOL! :rotfl:

I don't have established traditions yet for WDW. . .give me a few more trips. . .HOWEVER, after many many many trips to DLR. . .my son and I ALWAYS head to Disneyland Park first. . .our ride choices depend on the time of day. . .if its early morning we head to fantasyland to ride Peter Pan's Flight. . .(no fastpass at this park). In fact, the last trip we were there at 3 in the afternoon and I said hey, you want to break tradition and go to California Adventure first? He looked at me as though I had just lost my mind. . .so we went to Disneyland Park. . .lol. . .Oh and POTC was our first ride that day. . .

The first night we arrive, we go to Epcot and go on Spaceship Earth (first Disney ride I ever rode).

We always head to the Studios and ride Star Tours first. It's the first ride my two Dss ever rode and it's now our tradition. That's when we know we're at Disney.

For the last five years or so (since my dd turned 13), our tradition has become heading to DHS and riding Rock-n-Rollercoaster first thing. We always stay at the Dolphin so even if we arrive late in the afternoon, we head over there so we'll know our vacation has officially started. :thumbsup2

First park is always MK and first ride is always Pirates, it's tradition :)

At MK Pirates. But his year it may have to be IASW.It is dd's first trip and she really wants to ride this.

Dumbo for us now that we have real young ones. Before that DH and I always rode TTA. I dont know what it is about that ride but it just "feels" like Disney to us. It is just a relaxing no wait ride that got us in the Disney mode.
