What restaurants have disappointed you lately?

Just back from 10 days at the World and had a great time.

We will definitely rework some of our ADRs for our Fall trip though.

What restaurants that you used to love have disappointed you lately?

For us it would have to be Boatwright's and the Pepper Market. The steaks at both were tasteless and tough. Pepper Market is still the best CS option around but we usually eat there multiple times in a trip and this time we only ate there once.

Kona used to be our favorite and is now off of our list of "must do" ADRs as well. They changed their menu and made most of their dessert items chocolate (food allergy for me).

Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. This used to be one of our favorites, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but many of the food selections have been eliminated and it's no longer worth anywhere near the price being charged (and this is the least expensive buffet on property).

BUT, I go with lower standards I guess. So long as I don't have to cook, I'm usually happy.

We just returned yesterday from 9 days at WDW. Loved all of our dining choices except one. That would be Olivia's at Old Key West. It was a spur of the moment choice for dinner one night when the parks were crazy and we did not want to keep our existing ADR within DS. The food was not that great, and the server was not good at all. Live and learn. All of our other meals were wonderful..LeCellier, Cali Grill, Artist Point , Citricos, Flying Fish Cafe , Tutto Italia, Mama Melrose, Plaza.

Coral Reef, lovely atmosphere, not impressed with the food.

Boma. All the food seemed to taste the same.

Cape May Cafe dinner (we love breakfast) again the food was just ok.

I've been a fan of California Grill for years and live close to Orlando, so we eat there often. Lately, not so much. The service has taken a nose dive and the food is marginal at best. The latest changes on the menu are unappealing The wine has been consistantly good, but the knowledge of the staff seems to be, again, marginal. Sad, but true. When you spend that kind of money, marginal is not good enough.

We pretty much avoid all buffets at WDW now -- the food quality is greatly lacking, and they all tend to be kind of loud. We crossed Biergarten off a few trips back, and Boma bit the dust after our last trip. We were also disappointed in the Tusker House breakfast last year, Crystal Palace for lunch last year and Chef Mickey's is off our list for all meals.

Chef’s De France in EPCOT was disappointing last weekend also. We've been crazy about the Cassolette d'escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persille. This is an anniversary fave of ours and last weekend when we had it, it was terrible... stole the magic from our moment! That said, the Soupe a l'oignon gratinee provided a great deal of magic on it's own! If you haven't tried it, you should!

Hi, Sadly I have to agree with this post. We have had MANY great meals over the years at the California Grill. Although we had a GREAT server, the food was VERY dissappointing when we visited in February. I learned later that the chef had changed and IMHO the new chef seems to be TRYING too hard. So we will not be returning here for our July trip. Hopefully this situation will improve with time. Joan

We don't live there but we eat at Cali Grill every trip. In March, we were really disappointed with the menu changes. No flatbreads!

I agree, but found enough to satisfy me. We only went back because my daughter was dying to see Cinderella.

My biggest dissapointment last trip was Crystal Palace. We have always loved CP and we go at least once every trip. I was so disapointed with the food, characters and service.
We also decided that buffets are not for us anymore. We have 2 kids and between getting food for them, for us, taking pictures of characters, and trying to eat...it was too much work! Family Style or sit down meals from now on....well, we are trying Biergarten this time and I forgot that this was buffet style.

I couldn't agree more!! The food was the absolute worst of our trip in March. The buffet dinner was comparable to very bad banquet food. The childrens selections were horrible. All I can say that if it wasn't a character dinner, the place would have shut down a long time ago. My daughter cared less about the food and got great pics and autographs. If that is what your intentions are, then go. If you are planning on enjoying the meal, forget it!! We were on the dining plan for 7 days, so we we tried lots of places and none of the others can anywhere close to being this horrible and I am not that hard to please!

I feel it important to say that sometimes we just have bad experiences so I hope to in no way change ppls mind about their choices they may have a great experiences!

That being said, Ohana is off our must do list, all the food was just off that night meat was very dry and over done, wings were bland, shrimp very very sticky only thing I enjoyed was the veggie, dumplings and noodles. I do think we will go back just not our next trip

San Angel was a terrible experience from the wait time, the nast attitude from the hostess and the extremly bland food, plus our meals had no side items, I had a chicken and onion dish that was in a cream sauce, no potatos, rice or beans. DH had beef tips in a brown sauce and three small tortillas no rice, beans or potatos either.

This trip I hope to try some new places. Its hard tho b/c I want to stick to the old tried and true places for our family like Le Cellier and CR.

We were very disappointed in the Brown Derby on our last trip. We usually eat there on our DHS day, but last time the service was bad and the food was so-so. We'll be skipping this our next time around.

Was this just cause the oven was broken, or is this change permanent? What else on the menu is different?

My boyfriend and I are planning on going there for a nice dinner in early May, and while I have perused menus online, none are quite that updated. Anyone know where I can find an updated menu? I hope we like it...

Chef Mickey's. We ate there during our February trip and couldnt belive how bad the food was. The options were very limited and the food was sort of cold, maybe it was a bad night but we're not going back next trip

The soup at Chefs is to die for. Best French Onion I've had almost anywhere. Everything else, is just meh anymore.
