Hi all,

We just got back from a great week long trip with our 3 yo dd. DH and I are going back for short trip next April (I have a company meeting we are piggy-backing). We only have 3 nights and we will NOT be using DDP this time.

I want to try some of the more "grown-up" places we did not try this time. We only have 3 nights.

Here are the restaurants I'm considering. Please help me decide and give other suggestions in case I'm missing something. (Too many to pick from ;) )

California Grill
Citricos
Narcoosees
Jiko
Raglan Road
Yachtman's Steakhouse
BlueZoo

Thanks!

Try V&A. It will be a meal such as you have probably never had before, and no children.

Next I would suggest Jiko.

I would make it a point to avoid Ragland Road unless you want a place that is very noisy.

My wife and I like Jiko and BlueZoo. Both restaurants are very "adult friendly."

Three nights--well, I'd suggest California Grill, Jiko, and one not on your list--Flying Fish.

Of the ones of you list I would go with Jiko, Citricoe, and blueZoo.

While California Grill is one of my favorites, it is also popular with children because of the MK view and the fireworks.

I second uncleromulos on the Flying Fish.

2 Weeks ago we ate at Jiko and Raglan Road. I loved Jiko. Wonderful food, excellent service and a very refined, adult feel for WDW. There were very few children and they were well behaved and quiet.
Raglan Road was great. I agree it is noisy, and not at all romantic, but we had a blast. The food was great. I purposely made a late ADR (8:30) so that we could see the Irish Dancer and hear the band. We were seated right at the stage and I was afraid that it would be too loud, but it was great.
I would go again in a heartbeat.
I have eaten in the past at Narcossee's and if it is the same I would enthusiastically recommend it. I had a great meal and good service.
I do not recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse. It is 1 of 2 restaurants in all of the World that I will not return to. It is beautiful, and the service was outstanding but the food just was not good. We were 3 adults and no one liked their dinner. And it is expensive.
Have a Great Time.

Jiko, California Grill, and Narcoosee's have all been winners for us in terms of a more "grown-up" meal. Any of these locations, however, have the potential to be crowded and loud, so you just have to take that into consideration. Sometimes you can offset that by making a reservation for an earlier or later time, but that's no guarantee of a peaceful evening. One thing you can try at CA Grill is asking to be seated in their Wine Room. You won't have the MK view, but it's much quieter in there and you still get a lovely view of the lake and surrounding property.

I agree with Uncleromulus that Flying Fish is also a great choice. :thumbsup2

If you want a truly romantic and lovely evening, try Victoria and Albert's - expensive but worth every penny you'll pay.

I'd suggest Jiko, Yachtsman and a place that's not on your list - Artist Point.

Do not forget Citrico's, it is one of our faves.. We have always had wonderful meals and great service..

I too suggest Jiko and Flying Fish...but for a TRULY wonderful dinner it would have to be V&A. A meal you won't soon forget!!

I would say if you can just pick one then go with Jiko it is a very nice adult experiance.

Bistro de Paris is a very quiet romantic restaurant that usually has no kids. It is behind Chefs de France and up a flight of stairs. They have really good food and wine and it is in Paris in Epcot so you can walk around Epcot after you are done. If you ask for a window seat you will also have a view of Illuminations if you are still eating around 9pm. Jiko is my favorite restaurant but you have to take the bus or a cab to get there and it is far away from everything else unless you are staying at AK. It is worth it though.

Thanks for all your suggestions - I had not though about Flying Fish. I will go check out the menu.

I need to coordinate dinner with what we are doing each day. Our current plan is to try and do a few rides at AK and MGM Sunday and then hit EMH Sunday night so Calif Grill, Citricos, or Narcoosees would work well for this day.

Monday we are just going to relax by the pool - no parks. This could be a good day for Jikos or I think DH said we could go for V&A - anyone know if they are open Monday nights?

Tuesday I want to spend all day at Epcot, touring the World Showcase since we won't have kids with us. THis would be a probably be good night to hit Flying FIsh or BlueZoo.

Any more input?

Yes, V&A is open every day. It is just that usually one or two nights per week the Chef's Table is not available. And, believe it or not, it is not difficult to get a reservation at V&A; they have a capacity of 67 Guests and normally have 45-50 at a seating.

Thanks! I think DH wants to do V&A :cool1:

I'm so excited that you decided on V&A's. Get the chef's table if you are able! An experience of a lifetime.

The only one on your list that seems odd for a "couples restaurant" is, as others have said, Raglan Road.

Narcoossee's is wonderful. It is fairly small as far as Disney resturants go. It has beautiful views, fantastic service and the food is wonderful. There are some kids there but it is mostly an adult atmosphere. I spent my birthday there and they really made it a wonderful experience. I would definately go back again.

If you'll be at Epcot, you may want to try Tokyo Dining in Japan. We ate there tonight and it was great! Since today was the last day of F&W, the park was pretty crowded, but we waited only 3 minutes to be seated at 5pm without reservations (just two of us.) They also have Teppan Edo in the same building, but separated. It is less intimate, as you are seated with other people at a large table (unless you are a party of 8.) There were more kids there and far more activity than on the Tokyo Dining side. (Before anyone rips my head off and thinks I hate kids - we have four, but sometimes we want to have a quieter moment, even in WDW!)
They have many varieties of sushi, but DH and I prefer our salmon and scallops cooked. The prices, comparatively, are reasonable. The food was truly excellent and the service was beyond flawless. We will absolutely return there.
