I've used the DDP or DxDP every trip since it was first introduced and love it. However, for my upcoming Sept trip I'm thinking about skipping the DDPs.
However, I love having things prepaid, so was thinking about getting a Disney gift card to use for meals and tips. I'd also like to eat at some restaurants I haven't eaten at in years (because they are not on the DDP). What restaurants do not accept Disney gift cards (especially those in DTD and Swan/Dolphin area)?
As an AP holder I used to have the TiW card back when it was the DDE card, but since I travel alot solo, drink very little, and started using the DDPs, never bothered to renew it. What is the break even point on it now and again which restaurants do not accept it? Is it worth it for a solo diner?
