This is not a "your favorite resort poll." What resort do you think stays best with it's theme. ie, Polynesion is themed South Pacific, is it better South Pacific themed then CBR is Caribbean themed? I could only post 10 options so I had to leave some resorts off, I used my discretion so I hope I didn't upset anyone, but a resort like the Contemporary is very nice but doesn't have much theme.

AKL by far sticks to it's theme IMHO better than all the others.... From the antiques in the lobby and all the hallways and the old pictures.....the hand carved dressers in the rooms...... The restraunts and even the room service food. Everything made me feel like I was away on a very luxurious safari :D

I think, AKL far and away! How can you top Giraffes, Zebra and Ankole Cattle? The art collection is stunning, and the architecture, restaurants, shop, CMs, activities, and room decor, all are "on theme"!

I think WL would have to be my second choice, but a distant one!

I suppose AKL is the best for theming, but I think they are all very good.

Really tough question!!

I reserve my vote til after we visit Polynesian in just 10 days!!:D

At this point it is AKL, but may change......

Definitely the Poly. The atmosphere and decor there is so cool.

I voted for the AKL. I actually felt like I was out in the middle of nowhere, on a photo-type of safari, especially in the evenings when the World was quiet and still.

When we stayed at AKL, it almost felt like we weren't at WDW because it's themed so well!;)

I forgot to vote when I set up this pole but I think I have to agree with the majority so far. We have not yet stayed at Wilderness Lodge but have been there several times so don't know what the rooms are like. We have stayed at both the Poly and AKL and Poly is by far our pick but I must admit as far as sticking to the theme, the vote would have to go for AKL.

My DW & I have not stayed at every resort, but we would definietely vote for WL. The totem poles, use of wood, large fireplaces with rockers :D , and the lighting is great. We love the bubbling stream in the lobby that feeds into the large pool. And of course, you can't forget the geyser! All around, from the entrance way arch, the bear crossing sign and the wonderful shrubbery and trees that surround the resort, it truly feels like a northwest lodge. And you won't find a SINGLE palm tree anywhere on the resort! No other resort can claim that!

I'd have to say CSR (well Ranchos section, anyway). Another poster complained about how hot, arid, and barren (treeless) it was. Well, DUHHHHHHH, H E L L O, isn't the southwest SUPPOSED to be that way?!?!?!? That's about as much sticking to a theme as it gets!!! (I give 2nd place to WL - once inside, you really forget that you are in Florida!)

Although I haven't stayed at all, I have visited most and my vote goes to WL. They are all, in my opinion, exceptionally themed.

AKL, WL, and Poly are very close!

But, my vote goes to AKL!!!

WL does have a geyser, but, NO BEARS!;)
That would be pretty neat!!!

:D

I was between AKL and WL, but have to agree, that with the animals at AKL, it does have an edge over WL. Neither is my favorite, though...too dark!
