What resort is the best?

Seriously,

BIL and SIL now like all of the resorts that are available and don't know where to buy.

BWV, BCV, VWL. Is an April use year available at BWV and BCV?

Anyway,

Out of the three, what would you buy and why?

They are here right now, have been looking at pictures, are going to make the final call in the morning and don't know where to buy.

They like SAB, BIL really likes BWV and SIL really likes VWL.

VWL may be gone by the time they call tomorrow which will make the decision easier.

Better duck on that one. They should buy where they want to stay the most. If they truly have no preference, I'd recommend OKW resale. Through DVC I'd buy BWV due to the standard view option on points.

They like SAB, BIL really likes BWV and SIL really likes VWL.

If VWL are sold out when they call and it is out of the equation then they have to decide just how important SAB is to them. BCV and BWV are about as similiar as any 2 DVC resorts get in regards to location, amenities, transportation options, etc. With BWV you have the advantage of the lower pts for standard view rooms and BCV has SAB. If VWL are still available then they have to decide which location, atmosphere etc they prefer.
All 3 resorts are wonderful!

Depending on how many points they are buying...they could get 2 home resorts....say 150 points at BWV and 150 at VWL....or any combination.

Its a tough choice to make...we had to decide between OKW and BWV....or to wait for VWL. We chose BWV and added on at VWL later. But we've stayed at OKW a couple of times too...we'll be there on Sunday as a matter of fact.

WLV of course!! (Course Ive never stayed at any of the others, Wilderness Lodge Villas is my home resort, so my opinion may be slightly biased)

I do think wherever they decide to call home, they will be happy there, cause they can call it home.

LOL! Loaded question! Just curious, why did you leave OKW out of the mix? It IS the best DVC property, after all!

All DVC resorts are awesome, and it really is all personal preference. Of course, I like the resorts that lend themselves to heavier theming (Poly, AKL, WL/VWL), so I would pick VWL....

I can make this very easy for you:

Decide which of the following timeframes you will most likely be going, then pick your resort accordingly:

If you will most often be going when the Christmas decorations are up, pick VWL, they supposedly have the best decorations and Xmas aura.

If you will most often be going during the swimming months (mid-March to mid-November), then pick BCV due to SAB.

If you will most often be going down for New Year's Eve or anytime during the winter, pick BWV due to the standard view point schedule.

Now, was that so difficult?

If your going to want GV, realize that only OKW and BWV offer them at WDW , and you'll need the 11 month window to get one.

It's a tough question, everyone here has their favorites, and own reasons they bought the resort they did. There are many factors to consider. The type of transportation you'd like to the park you'll visit most often may factor in. Boats to Epcot and MGM vs a boat to MK. Bet wishes in your decision. Take some time to consider, you don't want to be sitting in a resort wishing you pick another one with better options. They all are wonderful and have thier own advantages.
