What PS's should we consider?

Please help me! I am so overwhelmed with all of these places to eat :p I will give you the full run-down and you can give me any tips you have ::yes::
I also have a question first:
1. Should we try to be spending the day in that park where our PS is? Meaning, if Tuesdays are good days to go to MK - then I only want to do Cindi on that day?

Our info:
DH, DD(who will be just 8yo then), and myself. We like bbq, chicken, steak. Not too much 'exotic' food. We are a fun family :hyper: We will be staying at the WL from 11/6-13 (flying in) I am not sure yet what days we should go to what parks - we have all inclusive park hoppers from the 7 for 5 deal. We don't eat seafood (ok, dd will eat fish sticks sometimes :p )

Thanks so much for any ideas on what day we should go to what park (if it matters much for our PS's), and what PS's we should try for that we would really enjoy!

Hi! First of all you will love the WL!!! Ask about "flag family" at check in -- your family can raise/lower the flags.

As far as PS, I recommend you make them at the park you will be at day/night. Think of it as a "break". It takes quite some time to get from resort to parks. Don't forget to make resort PS if you are planning on a park near by.

What parks to visit on which days -- I really don't think it should matter since you are not there during a busy season.

Have fun and enjoy the WL!

Thanks catheren! I wasn't sure if what day to enter the park would matter since it is Nov, but food and wine festival is going on.
Ok, so I do want to make a PS for a character meal (or just meal) for the park we are in for that day?

Is Cindy really worth it? I don't think my 8yo dd will be damaged either way, but before I go all out, is this really worth it? Sounds like the food isn't great (we are picky eaters so the pre-plated meals don't appeal to me)?

For BBQ- flame tree at AK is great!!

Steaks? le celliur at Epcot (cananda) or Yatchsmen Steakhouse at the Yatch Club are good choices

there are some fun themed places like SCI FI cafe at MGM
and 50's Prime Time at MGM, for buffets try Crystal Palace or
Liberty Tree Tavern at MK both good.

As for Cindy's we ate luch there twice and it was okay food, nothing to write home about and you dont really get to see Cinderella except for breakfast.

speaking of breakfast the CR has Chef Mickey's which is really good.

goodluck in your choices!!

Thanks so much!

What are your opinions on character meals? I guess I should have added that in my original question

We are making PS's for:

First night--Chef Mickey's--we will not be going into the parks that first day but we want some Disney Magic.I have enjoyed it there in the past and my DH has never been to Disney so we thought that might be a good way to start. We are then going to take the monorail around and look at the different resorts and stay a while at one of them to watch the water parade at 9.

What we did was ask lots of questions on here, look up menus on allearsnet.com and make some decisions on what places we would really like to try. Then we checked out EMH's to see how we were going to do the parks for our 6 day 7 night stay.
We are going to make our ps's for those places that are in those parks on those days. We did however have to not pick a bunch of places that were in the same park.
Some places keep getting talked about on here as quite good
so we are going to try those. Then there are some places that I'm not all that thrilled about but DH has never tried them and wants to (ie SCI FI)

We also picked a couple that were in our resort area such as Cape May and Beaches and Cream ( we are staying at the Yacht Club)
I hear there are some very good places at WL also that you should try out!!
But you really need to go to ALLEARSNET.com and check out the menus. it really helped us. Also many people have many pics on here which really helped us. Good luck

:sunny:

Thank you!
Now a question - does anyone have a picture of the 'Kitchen Sink'? I am dieing to see this! LOL!

I think I will do just that - try to decide what days to go to what parks (either around when we get a particular PS, or by what is not busy that day) and schedule around that.

I have looked over some of the menus - so much food so little time :sunny:

Thanks for all the excitement about the WL - we are so excited to be staying there! We will ask about being the flag family too!

You guys are great with the tips, hints, and things to think about :D

Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are both good buffets. Lots of choices for even the pickiest eaters.

We also like Ohana's. Lots of meat that is flame cooked. Fun atmosphere.

At MGM we like the Prime Time Cafe.

Plan to eat your way around the World Showcase at the Food and WIne festival -- yum!!

We always plan at least 1 sit down meal per day. It's a good break for you and the kids.

Great ideas Disneyag!

We are in Upstate NY (Rochester area :) How about you?

My 6 year old twin niece and nephew are going to be going on their 4th WDW trip this year. Their picks were: Princess Storybook Breakfast in EPCOT (and not Cindy's) and 1900 Park faire at the Grand Floridian, a character buffet dinner with the Fairy Godmother in the lobby, Cinderella, Prince Charming and the mice, Suzy and Perla. The food is pretty good especially the strawberry soup. My nephew picked Donald's Breakfastasourus at Animal Kingdom, and the only character meal where Donald Duck is a regular and Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends located at MK for dinner, also a buffet. They also both really like Chef Mickey's, our first night tradition.
You might want to ask your daughter for some imput as far as characters she might want to see at mealtimes.
Also if you have UPH, it does not matter where you schedule a meal as long as you are willing to travel especially if you park hop doing one park in the morning and another in the afternoon or dinnertime.
Have fun, half of it is in the planning.
