what program are you using to "fill" letters and pictures

wondering what the DISigners are usiing when the fill a mickey head with a different background of do a name with characters inthe background???

thanks - I downloaded a 30 day free trial of photoshop 7.0 today - spent hours playing - couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make something transparent and to get a background to show thorugh !!! I have a serious respect for what you guys turn out here....really cool....

I downloaded the free trial also after reading this thread. Before I knew it, 3 hours had passed and I still couldn't figure the darn thing out. I have been trying to make the "picture words" and I even took a shot at a creative mickey head, but no go.
Good for you guys!!! I guess I will have to keep depending on you for the awesome DISigns. My sanity will no longer let me play in Photoshop !!!

Here's a tutorial for Photoshop that will teach you the basics of adding pitures inside letters. There are a lot of tutorial on this site that althought they're for Photoshop will work with Photoshop Elements. The older ones often "translate" action for action. The newer one's may use features that PSE does not have. With some experimentation you can often work around some of them.

You have to think of things as layers, and you have to cut things out to make the picture show from underneath...
