What Princess Character Meal Would you recommend?

This summer will be our 3rd trip in 4 years so, I'm looking at doing a few new meals this time around. But, princess character meals are a must-do with a dd6 and dd4. What would you recommend.... 1900 Park Fare (never been) or Askershus (we've ate there twice & LOVE It) or CRT (I've done this one the last 2 times too, and I think I want to pass this time around). Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks so much! :)

We have done CRT for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

The experience of eating in the castle was hard to beat but in terms of quality of food and actual character interaction, I would side with 1900 Park Fare.

We have not yet done Akershus and plan to this trip for breakfast.

Thank you. I've really been leaning towards 1900 Park Fare for something different, but yet still slightly the same b/c of Cinderella. I'm glad to hear the food is good.

We have done CRT for dinner, Princess Storybook for Dinner and 1900 Park Fare for Dinner. I would recommend the Princess Storybook. In my opinion, the food is pretty good at the Princess Storybook (loved the smoked salmon) and 5 Princesses visit your table.

I could have written the same thing. We really enjoyed Park Fare for the food, but decided to try a few new meals this time.

We prefer Akerhaus and 1900 PF to CRT...you still get to see princesses and they are just 1 credit each if on the DDP. The food is good at both too. The interaction between the step-mother and sisters at PF was the best of the trip!

I have to say that Akershus in Norway (EPCOT) is the best character breakfast on property.

We are big Akershus fans. We did dinner at 1900 last trip and everyone in our group was very underwhelmed with the food. We found it to be typical buffet fare, nothing special. That being said, 1900 has a unique character mix you can't find anywhere else. I am glad we did it once for that reason, but we don't plan to return any time soon.

My DD6 hasn't asked to go back to 1900, but she definitely wants to go back to Akershus. She liked seeing a variety of princesses better, and for 1TS plus the photo package it's a great deal.

If you are passing on CRT and are on the DDP, you could do both 1900 and Akershus instead of using the 2 credits for just one meal at CRT. :)

We've done CRT and Akershus for breakfast - I liked both, but Akershus is just wonderful and it's only 1TS credit. We like seeing as many princesses as possible so that's why we did those meals.

I've never done 1900 but it sounds like fun.

I agree with the PP who suggested doing BOTH Akershus and 1900 PF instead of CRT. We've done 1900 PF last July and it was one of our favourite character meals ever. Best interaction I've EVER had, we still laugh about the stepsisters to this day!

For lunch the only thing buffet wa the appetizers. The food was actual TS, but the menue was limited. DH had the lamb stew and I had the BBQ sandwich...both were very good! DH said the portion was too small though for how good it tasted. :rotfl2:

Another vote for Askerhaus. Character interaction is great. You get a picture with Belle in her yellow dress and much cheaper than CRT. We usually do both during our trips and we always like Askerhaus breakfast the best.

We do 1900 Park Fair as well, and the food is just very mediocare there. Askerhaus breakfast has the best food of all them as well.

ilandrazdsw -

I said we are Akershus fans, then spoke about 1900's buffet food. :)

We really like the food at Akershus too!

Thanks guys for your opinions. So, I'm almost 100% out on CRT this trip. I've done the lunch & dinner at Askershus, but I think now you all have convinced me of breakfast (okay, not much convincing needed-I do LOVE that place!!). I'm still undecided about 1900 Park Fare, I would love the girls to see Prince Charming since they always ask Cinderella about him, but the step-sisters??...I would hate for my girls to say something embarrassing or be terrified of them. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!! Thanks again! :flower3:

Each child is different, but my DD6 wasn't scared of them, though at first I don't think she quite knew how to take them. She ended up thinking they were pretty funny. I thought they were the best part of the whole experience! The step-mother didn't bother her either, my daughter commented that she was nicer at 1900 than in the movie.

Most of the characters are very good at being aware of how the children are reacting to them and behave accordingly.

Have fun no matter what you decide! :)

The Princess Storybook Breakfast is the only character meal that we have repeated almost every trip. We have actually been seated at the same table three times. Must be the only table for two around.
