So you are Magic Kingdom, the sun has just set and magic hour is upon us. What picture would you take? And if you are lucky enough to have captured that shot would you mind sharing it here?
ummm... Magic hour (the golden hour) is just after the sun rises and just before the sun sets. Not after it sets. You have that warm golden light from the way it's refracted in the atmosphere and the really long shadows with softer edges. Twilight (the blue hour) is the time just after the sun goes below the visible horizon but before dusk.
We were waiting to go in at Crystal Palace on the last trip around sunset. Not the best location for a castle shot. This shot also displays my tendency to lean to the left. LOL
I was thinking the very same thing, Danielle, but decided to let it slide. I'm guessing the intent of the thread was meant to ask about the twilight/blue hour rather than the magic hours. Of course, both magic hours and twilight time are excellent for photography, and there's no end to the subjects to shoot then. The simple answer as to what to photograph at twilight is: anything and everything! Whatever's closest to you or reachable before the light ends. Same goes for magic hours.
The castle does seem to be a very popular choice for twilight though!:
And as for the 'blue hour'...that point after the initial twilight post-sunset, when it becomes truly 'dark' out, yet night shots will yield that deep mesmerizing cobalt blue color...I love that one too:
I thought about not saying anything, but it gets confusing when you talk about it and post pictures if you're not really talking about the same thing. Know what I mean?
