What permanent US port would you like one of the older Disney ships to call home after 2021?

Assuming the 3 new ships will be sailing out of PC, DCL will have to move the Fantasy and Dream. Will they move around like the Wonder and Magic does now? Will the Magic or Wonder find permanent home ports, while the Dream and Fantasy move around? If so, where would you like to see them parked?

I would not mind if NYC became a home port. I think winter would be a problem. If they could somehow get Norfolk, VA or Baltimore, MD, that would be a HUGE win for me!!! Not only do I live 15 minutes from the Norfolk cruise terminal, Baltimore is 3 hours away.

They have a contract with Miami. One of the ships has to stay there year round and it can’t be the magic or wonder. Forget what year it starts. Also another ship will be there around 3 months of the year. I will like to see Bayonne but Disney likes nyc so have to settle with nyc.

I think everyone would pick the cruise port that is nearest to them.

I’d love it if the introduction of the new ships allowed for NOLA to become a regular port for the Wonder during the Spring (i.e., Mardi Gras) season.

I would love NYC!! Not only is this an easy drive for us, but it's my favorite sail away port (well, of the ones we've done so far, anyway). I agree with the OP though. I think winter is problematic. I know that a lot of cruise lines sail out of NY/NJ year round, but having read a lot of trip reports on the winter cruises, I'm not sure I'd want to take one from there. And we love cold weather cruises!!! But there is cold, as in, lovely cool October Nova Scotia and then there is January NYC in a snowstorm cold. Ya know? Other lines make it work, though, so we shall see!

I've always wanted to take one of the NYC cruises that headed south and stopped in Port Canaveral for a quick WDW fix. We've just never been able to work one into our schedule.

I'm in favor of NYC but also Baltimore because then they could bring the bigger ships.

I'm voting for NYC or Baltimore but don't see it happening because of the contracts with Miami and New Orleans.

NOLA! We're just a 3-4 hour drive to the beautiful sandy white beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Plus, we've got lots of family-friendly activities (zoo, aquarium, Children's Museum, etc.), amazing food, it's easy to get around the city, and a ride down the mighty Mississippi River offers great views of the Chalmette Battlefield (War of 1812=Battle of New Orleans), historical plantations, our beautiful farmlands, NFL & NBA teams for those wanting to catch a big game, & just an hour from LSU for those wanting to see college football. There's even a book that I love called "52 Short Trips From New Orleans" that is FILLED with great trips ideas that are just a short drive away: https://www.amazon.com/Louisiana-Da...rleans&qid=1554908815&s=books&sr=1-1-fkmrnull

Ah, folks!! You already have enough ships on the east coast. I agree with DisneyKrayzie2 above...we need one on the west coast, Long Beach is not bad. We live in Oregon and any home base up this way would be a bonus. Navy ships come up the Columbia River and dock in Portland on special occasions, so it might be possible to sneak the Wonder in here. We have Mt. Hood, hiking trails galore, loads of Lewis & Clark history and Voodoo Doughnuts...what's not to like??

Yes Please...at least in the summer when its warm, and kids and school employees can go. ;) I'd even be happy with New York. A 4 hour drive is much better than a 24 hour drive or flying.

This. I could live with Boston - an easy train ride or short plane hop.

I am voting for Norfolk, Virginia. We usually have mild winters: we do not have to worry about snow. There is plenty of parking across from the cruise terminal. Norfolk is a beautiful port with an underutilized cruise terminal. Nice hotels and things to do within walking distance of the cruise terminal. It is only 20 minutes away from me. The Disney Magic did come into the shipyard here a few years back for overhaul.

Same. NYC. We would save on flights and just take a Greyhound.
