what part of POR is closed?

Hello,

I posted in the traspoation forum about the POR buses and Chip n Dale EXpress said part of POR is closed. I thought only the French Quarter is closed. Does anyone know what parts are closed at POR and has service and quality been diminished? We are going in October and want to make sure it will still be a magical time at POR or should I change to a different resort.

I was at POR from 5/3 to 5/10 and parts of both sections are closed. The only bus stop being used is the south station. I've stayed at POR numerous times and I had no problem with anything during my stay. The pools were open, the piano guy was playing in the lounge, the boats were running, etc. I don't think any renovation work had begun or at least I didn't see any.

I am going there on the 29th, so I will let everyone know when I get back.

French side is closed for a while, only parts of Riverside are scheduled for renovations.

From what I heard, there have been people relocated, but there are sections still open. I believe Alligator bayou teen buildings are open, and I heard two of the mansions would remain open. As of now, the amenities are not scheduled for renovations, but a manager at the resort couldn't promise that wouldn't change. I believe the renovations were supposed to begin on the 28th of this month.

I just got back last night. I noticed that a few parking lots at POR were empty and they were emptying the "lagoon" next to building 18 (where I stayed) but other then that everything ran smoothly, buses and boats running, restaurants still serving. If I wasnt a member of this board and heard about the renovations I wouldnt have noticed that some of the buildings were empty. POFQ is totally closed. Including the pool and restaurants.
