What one thing do you wish you had brought along?

What one thing do you wish you packed for your stay at a Disney resort that you didn't? WHat thing did you bring that was indispensible?

Looked for but never found an inexpensive pop up laundry basket. We were there for 11 nights and I planned on doing laundry mid trip. That worked out great but not having somewhere to put all the dirty laundry annoyed me in the room. We ended up putting clothes into big Mickey bags from buying souveniers to truck all the way to the laundry facilities but I wish I had something meant for laundry. 1 woman had this laundry type basket with handles that I thought was great. Other than that I found I overpacked on toiletries and clothing...this was our 1st big family vacation other than overnights so I brought everything along "just incase" - didn't need 1/2 of it.

I bring along on every vacation a canvas laundry bag it too works great, is not bulky and very cheap at Walmart. I also always throw in a few dryer sheets in my suitcases, they keep my clothes smelling great and then I use them when I need them.

I wished I packed a sharpie...to note the days left on our passes as we checked out.

What I brought that was indispensible: wallet :rotfl2:

Band Aids and Tylenol are always total lifesavers when we travel to WDW. The last time we went, I forgot to pack my sunglasses and had to pay waaay to much for a cheap little pair at Epcot. Good luck packing :)

A tiny pair of scissors,of course if your flying don't put them in your carry-on. I found them indespensable, especially for cutting tags off brand new clothes, and for cutting off the bracelets that they give you for EMH, and since I brought nail scissors I used them many times on my DS-5 months, who's nails seem to grow like a weed, and it's no fun to be scratched by him.

moleskin or better blister protection! We even went out to wal-mart and purchased something like moleskin, but low and behold after we got back to the resort (at 4 am) it wasn't in the bag!

Indispensible: extra socks! we went thru quite a few more pairs than we normally would (at home or the beach) and I was prepared.

I have posted this before but I will say again...and...again.....to make your ROOM experience pleasant...and your stay at any Disney resort memorable....bring airfreshener!

I really needed one of those cords that attach to the earpieces of sunglasses so you can just sling them around your neck - going from the bright sunlight to the dark interiors of most rides, I was constantly taking my sunglasses off and putting them inside my bag for later retrieval. Of course, I lost them on Soarin' and had to buy another pair for $26 at my resort (and that was one of the cheaper pair!) Those sunglasses broke, and I had to have them replaced. When I got home, I'd found that the replacement pair broke as well - $26 down the drain - and It would have been prevented if I'd spent $1.50 on a cord before I left home.

Indespensible - a big tube of sunscreen and a $14 First Aid kit for blister-treatment.

Just to let you know, they sell those eyeglass cords with cute little Mickey's on them for about $5.00 in most stores in WDW - they are near the sunglasses. I use mine all the time. As far as I know, they only come in black.

I didn't see them, but I must have been blinded by the glare. I'm helpless without my sunglasses! :smooth:

I know what you mean - I wear contact lenses so anytime there is a little bit of light I am blinded.

My most indespensible thing is my backpack. The stuff in the pack is important too, but I'd be lost without my pack. (Of course, that's pretty much true of my life when I'm not at Disney too, but you get the idea.)

The two other things that are almost as indespensible are a little pocket knife/tool. I like the Leatherman Micra. It has scissors, a small blade (cause sometimes scissors just aren't what you need), small screw driver (for fixing glasses, opening compartments to replace batteries in my nephew's toys, etc), nail file, etc. The only think it doesn't have, that I wish it did was a can opener. But I rarely really need that, so most of the time, I'm okay.

The other thing is some duct tape. Useful for patching/mending things quickly, warding off blisters, labeling/identifying things, etc. Great stuff.

Advil! Take it at night to avoid sore muscles in the morning!

Scissors. A sharpie. Bodyglide. Advil. Cell phone. Water bottle. And I packed ponchos, like I do every single trip but have never needed them before. This time I needed them but left them all back at the resort. My husband bought 4 new Mickey ponchos at Epcot just so we could get back to the car at the transportation center. And when my camera batteries died right after we arrived at the Magic Kingdom for a character breakfast, my huge supply of extra batteries were... you guessed it, back at the resort. And we could have used duct tape; one of our suitcases got punctured enroute.

Wish I would have thought to bring: postcard stamps (they sell them in the machines for the same price as a .37 stamp)

Indespensible: I picked up a little id wallet with a zipper at my local Dollar Shop. It had a cord to put around the neck, but also a belt loop. I used it on the belt and had passes, driver's license, money and credit cards in it. I never had to worry about losing it because I would have had to take my belt out of at least one belt loop. Plus it was very easily accessible.

great idea about the belt wallet. I remember seeing them when I was buying some travel gear and totally forgot about them, thanks for reminding me! :goodvibes

Another vote for packing a sharpie -- I used ours to sign our resort keys and mark our reusable mugs.

Also, I wish I'd had a sharp pair of scissors for cutting moleskin.

I packed a full pharmacy (children's and adults' cold medecines, pain medecines, etc.) and didn't regret one medecine that we took. I packed new, unopened medecines so we wouldn't have spillage.

A mesh laundry bag or pop up basket is quite handy.

Wish I'd packed? Postcard stamps -- bought some, left 'em at home. It's just much easier to have them tucked in your wallet than to waste time seeking them out.

Indispensable? Sunscreen, and lots of it! Also an extra battery for the digital camera.

Those pop up laundry bags are the best! I also will remember to bring sissors for the next time.

indispensible would have to be my fanny back, it held everything from my camera to our camcorder and when we went in August it rained ALOT!!
