I have just returned from my latest cruise and whole I enjoyed the trivas and onboard activities of got me thinking about what activitiesI would add to my navigator if I could?

On WBTA with DCL we once had a murder mystery that ran across several days where the entertainment team played different suspects and we could explore areas set up with different clues. We all loved it!

What do you all think? I'm not suggesting surf simulators or rock walls... What would your like to see which could easily be conducted in a lounge or bar during your dream cruise?

I would love to see them offer a series of escape rooms, for different age and skill levels. I dont think it would be too hard for them to cycle through a few new designs every six months or so to keep it fresh? But it only works if they can get something new often enough for the repeat cruisers. What about card/poker games, with pretend chips and run WSOP challenges for those that want to try.

I like that escape room idea! How's about a 5k at sea where you jog the running track tapping your KTTW each time you pass the bow and stern to track your progress.

I would like to see more tours of the ship. The Art of The Theme tour is great, Ive done it on both The Magic and The Dream. It would be interesting to have a different versions of this where they go into the MDR restaurants, or the theatre and cinema or the bar areas.

It would also be nice to have more yoga sessions. Ive only seen them around 7am. It would be nice to have them during the day.

Aqua Aerobics in the adult pool would be nice.

Something HAL did I'd like Disney to add. An Indonesian Crew Talent Show. Many played musical instruments I had never seen or heard of before. Some sang, and there were traditional Indonesian Dance routines. Our kids LOVED seeing our server, assistant server and cabin steward on stage.

Not a strict "activity" per se, but I would love for funnel vision to be 24hrs... I think 11-midnight for it to be over is too early.. tons of night owls on the ship, super early risers (me) that would love to go sit by the pool deck and watch whatever is on instead of turning the tv on in the SR and disturbing family at 4 am... didn't it use be that funnel vision was on until around 2 am?... I don't remember exactly but feels like that was the case..

I would love to have a naturalist/educator on the non-Alaska based itineraries. At least on longer ones. Learning about the wildlife and history of Alaska was one of the highlights of our cruise there. It made it so much more interesting. I wouldn't mind learning about sea life, the history of the islands we are visiting, etc. Or in Europe, on sea days, I would love a history lesson for some upcoming ports. If Disney sticks with it's no behind-the scenes tour, I would even love to have an engineer show some photos and explain the behind the scenes stuff on the ship. I like mixing education with vacation and with the right presenters, it can be very entertaining.

Call me a party pooper, but I would like to see less funnel vision! I don't love that it can be heard just about anywhere up top all hours of the day. I would enjoy calm background music for some hours of the day. But I know I am the exception here, and that other lines are more appropriate for that than DCL.

I'd love something interactive like that, but maybe with a scavenger hunt twist where you explore different parts of the ship. Or even a themed trivia night that’s more immersive, like Harry Potter or Marvel, where people could dress up and really get into it.

LOL. We were West Coasters on an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Magic with late seating dinner at 8:30 pm. After 10 pm, the ship was deserted. It was not uncommon for us to be the only ones up on the outside decks between midnight to 1 am watching the passing lights and enjoying the breeze and the smell of the ocean. We never really turned our body clocks around, so midnight was still like 9 pm for our bodies. Like I said we had late seating, and all our excursions were after 11 am, so we never really got on ships time. And my kids did miss the nightly midnight buffet on Disney that they got to love on HAL.
Now this WAS a sold out New Year's Eve cruise, and New Years Eve was an exception. The atrium was PACKED until midnight, and deserted at 12:05 am! Happy New Year and Good Night! Cracks me up that my first cruise, on a luxury French cruise line, the night club didn't even OPEN until 2 am

I would love a Magiquest activity like they have at Great Wolf Lodges. I know there's the mid-ship detective agency, and I guess something similar on the Wish, but I feel like Magiquest is a bit bigger & more involved.

Maybe dance classes could be fun too. Like focused on a specific style.

So many ideas. On the transatlantic there were food demos almost every day and you got recipie cards and a small taster with a wine pairing at the end... I loved that.

I've also done behind the scene tours in the kitchen and theatre. So much fun

We did an 11 night Southern and there was ballroom dancing lessons/parties. Would LOVE to see that on shorter cruises. So much fun for all ages.

We often complain that the classic Disney movies aren't shown in the theater, only on Funnel Vision. It's great, but I'd love to watch Cinderella, or even newer classics like Princess and Frog in the theater again. There's only so many times I can ignore the bazillion offerings of the few first run movies in the theater, especially on Wish class with the 2 theaters

I would like to see MULTIPLE DanceAlong or SingALong programs - set to fun Disney music, obviously. I say multiple because my family got to do very little interactive as the early birds in line took the few available seats on our cruise. I think we were only able to get into the comedy one (which was not that great) after waiting in line twice, and the family was frustrated. This was about three years ago, so hopefully they've increased the family activities.
