That says a lot about how stupid the media really is. And people are saying *I* don't have MY priorities straight? I think the media's priorities are way out of line!
It is absolutely scary to me that this Starr guy was practically hunted down like a witch with the press revealing his name, where he's from, where he works, where he USED to work, etc. Convicted felons have more privacy than this!
Oh, but *I* am the one with the mixed up priorities!
Hmmmm....
Wow. I am so much in shock that anyone could possibly defend this scum that I hope I can control myself.
This guy shoved a small child. I don't want to hear about any "lost in the heat of the moment " blah blah. He made a choice. And that choice was "I want this ball and I'm going to push and shove a 4 year old CHILD out of my way to dive over a seat and get it. Pushing and shoving another person against their will, esp. if it is someone you do not know, esp. if they are a child and you are an adult is not legal where I live. Maybe it doesn't get reported often, but if some guy walks down the street and physically shoves me, I can call taht asault or attempted assault.
When you commit a crime, however small it is, you should really think about the consequences of your actions. If you don't want your name mentioned in the paper, or for hundreds of people to call you a jerk, then think before you act.
Thankfully the boy was not hurt. You say sine nothing happened to this child, you do not feel sorry for him?!? I hope you don't have kids. I hope you are not ever left in the charge of someone else's kids. Because anyone, IMO, who can just brush off a small boy getting pushed and shoved as "not a big deal because he wasn't hurt" should not be left with children in their care.
Do you know how easily he could have been hurt?? Another inch and this moron could have landed on him , broken his bones, or worse.
You really , truly think it is okay for a grown man to shove a four year old if there is something he wants near the child? Why not let the child have it, first off, like a normal human being? But if you really feel that strongly about having the ball, why not ask like a decent human being if you can have it? There is no excuse for pushing a small kid out of the way to get something you want so the child doesn't get it first.
This is the same sort of person who would push kids out of the way at WDW during parades, or stand in front of them and say "tough" when they ask him to step aside 1/2 a foot for the kid to see Mickey Mouse. I guess you are that sort of person too, since you think it's not a big deal.
The media reports what will get ratings but they did not break any journalistic laws that I see by using this guys name. He did something very , very bad. I'm personally glad his name was mentioned and I hope he has a hard time for quite a while being known as the loser who pushed a little kid to get a baseball.
I really just do not get how you can defend his actions. I really, truly don't.
